VOI.10 - BELLE ISLE, MI

The Viper Owners Invitationals have always featured fantastic banquets, exciting memorabilia exhibits and thrilling driving events. But the 10 Viper Owners Invitational August 27-30 in Detroit will have something no other Invitational has had in more than a decade—VIP access to an international world-class racing weekend. When you sign up for VOI.10, you'll also attend the Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle where you'll have priority seating for both the Indy Racing League and the American Le Mans Series events (and during the ALMS race, you'll be able to cheer on the #11 Primetime Race Group Dodge Viper Competition Coupe driven by Joel Feinberg and Chris Hall). In addition, there will be an on-site parking corral for those who bring their Vipers and a hospitality tent next to the track where you can relax and refresh between races. And, as a special treat, Viper owners will be able to take their Vipers out on the actual Belle Isle track before the race for some exhilarating parade laps. Those owners who have been around a while may remember VOI.3 in 1996 in Indianapolis, where attendance to the Indy 500 was included in the package. This promises to be even more spectacular as the internationally renown Detroit Grand Prix draws racing fans and media coverage from around the world.

FYI:

Dan and I have made reservations for the Motor City Hotel & Casino - This is the "host" hotel.  Flying in on the Aug-27th and out on Sept-1st.

There will be a shuttle van running between the two hotels, so you're welcome to stay at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino if you choose.

If you do not have your Viper with you on this event, there will be shuttle buses from both hotels to take you to and from all events.

During the driving events there will be cars available, however, it is first come first served starting with international members first.  I was told that there has never been any complaints and everyone did get drive time.

Does anyone know why we are being split across two hotels, or the proximity of those hotels to each other?

Simply put - no one hotel will have the capacity to handle the large group.
