For anyone flying from LAX the only airline I found with direct flights to DTW is Northwest and their rates for direct flights are better than other major carries with lay overs.

It looks like there are quite a few flights out of LAX.  Round trip cost varies from $300.00 - $375.00 depending on flight times.

There is a flight that leaves lax at 8:30 arriving around 4:00 which may be the best all around flight to catch going.

What is the schedule like for VOI on Sunday??

6:30 a.m.- 7:30 a.m.  Continental Breakfast at Driving Venues
6:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.  Shuttle Service between Driving Venues and 2 Host Hotels
7:00 a.m. Sharp  Panoramic Photo at Driving Venues
7:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.  Driving Activities at Chelsea Proving Grounds
Driving Activities may include:
   – Viper handling course
   – Viper Autocross
   – Milan Dragway

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m.   Lunch

Hey Dan,
Do you have any info as to what group the SoCal people will be in?  and more specifically whether or not our group is scheduled for the CAAP tour on Wed. or Thurs.. 
Unfortunately, it appears that there are no CAAP tours on Fri..
A bunch of us are flying on Wed and won't get in till late afternoon which means we could be missing our scheduled plant tour.

Our group is scheduled to tour CAAP on Thursday with a track day Friday.

Generally, the group comprised of more "local folks" will be touring CAAP on Wednesday.
