Woodhouse Performance team owner himself, Bob Woodhouse, was generous enough to give RLD an exclusive glimpse inside the Viper pit.

“It’s 4:30 a.m., I hear the clank of Viper parts packed inside my luggage as I drag it out the door headed for the plane to LA. This will be the 36th running of the Grand Prix of Long Beach, considered America’s #1 street race. If you won’t be there, tune in to VERSUS at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 18 ET. That way you will understand why my luggage has clanking metal sounds. You will be watching World Challenge present Sports Car Wars at St. Petersburg, FL. That happened two weeks ago. Since then the Woodhouse Performance team has been hell bent on squeezing a couple drops of Venom from our Dodge ViperCompetition Coupes. Being astute race fans that you are, in the show you may notice we weren’t exiting off the corners well (we are the red and blue Vipers). Street courses with slow-speed corners offer the all-wheel-drive and rear engine cars the upper hand. Thus during this short two weeks, our whole team has been humping full out, thus what prompts the noisy luggage. Yes, this Sunday Long Beach is a tight-cornered street course. I’m just saying, Viper guys, we are taking this fight serious. Dodge deserves to be up front. It takes your help. If you can’t be there, get connected; support Dodge baby and watch this war unfold. The Long Beach Race will air on VERSUS, May 1, 4:30 – 6 PM ET.” –Bob
