The Beast and I are always up for drag racing.  If you want to get a group together to go to Auto Club Dragway, let me know.  We are definitely going to Mopars at the Strip in April (4/11 to 4/13).

Is anyone else from the SC-VCA or VCA Western Zone registered in the Mojave Mile?  This year there are both a standing start mile and a standing start 1.5 mile.  It's run 10/12 & 10/13 at the Mojave Air and Space Port, featuring a very long & wide (military style) runway. about the safest high speed test venue I know of.  I'm running the Beast (AWSSSSM) both days.  Should be a blast both figuratively & in reality.

I can bring two very nice examples;  one Gen 2 & one Gen4, as follows:

- 2000 RT/10 recently (Aug/13) totally torn down fitted better than when it came from the factory painted Black Cherry Metallic with Silver Stripes
  - Very high performance (> 900 HP & 880 #-ft at the wheels), very well maintained daily driver with > 80000 miles, and raced (9.88s, 143 MPH quarter mile)
  - Won the unlimited drag class at VOI-10 with a shake down (first) run of 10.27s @ 141+ MPH, broke a half shaft on the second pass at ~ 1000 foot point (3rd to 4th shift) and still clocked a 10.57s at 105 MPH coasting the last 320 feet.  Otherwise would have easily beat my good buddy Hugh Hoard's 10.02s all time VOI record
  - Very impressive must see Viper, totally stock exterior, must start it or look under the hood to know it's not a totally stock Gen 2 RT/10

- 2008 SRT Convertible in Venom Red with Silver Stripes stock condition but retrofitted with an Arrow Racing Engines built ACR motor

Eric, thanks for arranging yet another joyous cruise.   Joyce and I will be there with the newly painted "Beast" (aka AWSSSSM).  Changed the color from black w/o stripes to black cherry metallic with silver strips.   We'll see you at Denny's in Sylmar by 0800.  Looking forward to seeing you again, it's been too long.  PS - That's to you my leg is fine.

Looking forward to seeing you also, seems like the last time was when we were freezing in January at Willow Springs.  Legs are good things!  :-)  New color sounds great!

Count Joyce and me in.  Since we live on the west side we'll plan on meeting up with everyone at the Riverside rendezvous.  If any west siders are interested in hooking up for the drive to Riverside please let me know.

Joyce and I are also planning on staying Saturday night at the Northwoods and driving home Sunday afternoon.  Is anyone else staying the night?

Joyce & I will be leaving LA on 9/28 and staying in Vegas that night.  Leaving for Salt Lake City from Vegas mid to late morning on 9/29.  We're planning to leave Salt Lake City on 10/4 with a reverse iteinerary.
