Viper Shoot Out and Cruise
Oak Tree Gun Club, Newhall Ca.
Back by popular demand. Scott and Laura Hirko are going lead us on a great day of fun. It's been over two years since we got to go out and blast clay pigeons. We will be starting the day at the famous Super Car Sunday in Woodland Hills. Then a quick cruise to Newhall Ca. to the Oak Tree Gun Club followed by a killer lunch at the Newhall Refinery Where: Oak Tree Gun Club http://www.oaktreegunclub.com
Date: Sunday June 22, 2014Time: Start at 7-8:30 a.m. at Super Car Sunday depart at 9:00 a.m. to Oak Tree Gun Club http://www.supercarsunday.com/location
Cost: Gun range fees, $25.00 Cash per person covers two games of trap (50 clay pigeons) Shot gun rental and ammo at additional cost if needed. ($10 per gun) guns can be shared by a few people. Lunch: Newhall Refinery brew pub. Old town (About 7 miles from the gun club) lunch is $15 includes one appetizer and one entree and regular drink. Beer and wine extra.

Just found out old town Newhall is having a classic car show the same day as our gun club event. So when we are at lunch we will be in the middle of a huge classic car show. Thanks to all the Viper Club me members for coming out and making this a great event. 8) We had a fun filled day, first going to Super car sunday to show off our Vipers and see the other cars there. Then off to Oak tree gun club to blast some clay pigeons to dust. Then for some brews and lunch at Newhall refinery. Special thanks to Eddie R. for the parking and shuttle service to the lunch spot. The girls and I love this event !! Scott and Laura did a GREAT job setting this up for us and everything was perfect. We were worried that it may be hot, but the weather was perfect.
Oak Tree Gun Club is a really nice facility with something for everyone.
My only complaint would be the fact that the titanium pigeons that were loaded at my station were not breaking with the lead shot. Next time please load the slow flying brittle pigeons in my station so that I can have the satisfaction of seeing them explode ;D
