How does the track enforce the rule of cars faster than 11.99 sec must have a roll bar or cage?  Do our Viper qualify with the "roll bars" in the rear bulk head?

Spoke to the tech guy and he said;


Everyone needs a Snell '05 or later helmet.


Any car 11.49 or faster needs a SFI 32a jacket.

2008 or newer all stock coupes can run down to 10.0 without any other restrictions.

Convertibles 13.49 or faster need minimum 5 point roll bar and harnesses.

Older than '08 or modded coupes 11.49 or faster need a roll bar and harnesses along with helmet and jacket/suit.

If anyone thinks they will get close to the ET that requires the safety mods then just back out of the throttle near the end of the quarter to keep your time from being too fast.


If we get a group together and go right before they open, the tech guy said he will check us in separate from the others which he said will save us a bunch of time.


So come on out and "Run whatcha brung!" Non-Vipers are welcome too.

We are looking forward to getting back to the 1/4 mile. For those who have never run your car down the 1320, its quite a thrill to run flat out through the first 4 gears in a controlled, timed environment.
Lyle "lead foot" Larson will be running a quick Gen 1 car and Rick Hollis will be running the 1000hp "beast".

Yes lets all plan to meet and before the event and all get teched together.

I think it's as many runs as you want for $20 but the number of cars there will determine how many runs you can get in.

Twenty bucks get's you in to run all day. Spectators $10 for the day.  Gates open at 7 a.m. for tech and registration.  Track goes hot at 9 a.m till 5 p.m. 8)

Does anyone know if Hugh will be bringing his monster out? I'm not sure that he reads the forum. I hope he knows about this event. I would love to see him run his car.
