As I get a "Comments closed" message come up if I try to add to the existing thread, I'll have to start a new one. Someone appears to have excluded me from that thread.

I have been a VCA member for at least 8 years, and loved the events with Chrysler and met some wonderful people.

The potential pitfalls I see with VOA is they have no guaranteed relationship with SRT and no guaranteed VOI or equivalent.

They have 1200 members already, and volume may win out

I've joined them hoping that they will gain that relationship, based on Maurice's history and Ralph joining.

VCA has problems with their SRT relationship based on their letters to and from. They may have too few to support their overhead, needed raffle and a VOI.

It has been explained to me that they promised 2 more issue of the mag than delivered in 2013(has anyone got those?) and that may fall under mail fraud. It may exhaust their treasury getting those out.

There may be residual issues with the old raffle, as it appears not to have been legal, and they still won't disclose most information about it, like where it was held.

I just want a Viper club to do cool stuff with SRT Chrysler. I hope SoCal chooses VOA, as it may have the fewer problems of the two, and seems to be more transparent.

If you want to see how low the renewal rate is at the VCA, go to their site, click on any old thread and see how high the percentage is of enthusiasts, rather than members. They won't let you know the real numbers, but today it shows up on their site. Go to the VOA site and see the percentage of members.

Hi David,
I am confused as to why you are getting blocked out of a thread.
Please send me the details so I can check into it.  There are very few admins and I do not know of any threads that have been locked down for any reason at all.   I will check into it for you.

Happy New Year !
