The Mojave Mile will be out at the Mojave Air and Space Port located at 1434 Flightline St. Mojave CA 93501
This event will be running on May 5th & 6th.
I am going to go out early on May 6th. Club member Bob Griffith will be running his twin turbo GTS and is seeking the record for the standing mile.
I'll be at Spaghettini's at 6:45 and will leave at 7:00.
We'll make a quick stop at Denny's off Roxford at 8:00 and then head on to Mojave.

I propose the Denny's off the 5 North at Roxford as a meeting point, then it will only be a few miles to the 14.
I found out that Bob will be running 2 cars on Sunday.
The track will open at 8:30.

It is very funny that Lance and you meet at the exact same places the So Cal MINI guys meet for runs north of LA. All the MINI guys in OC, meet at Spagettinis of the 405, then we all meet at the Chevron - Denny's off Roxford Street and the 5. In fact we are meeting there on Saturday AM for a run around Lake Isabella, through Mojave > Tehachipi > Hwy 58 to Lake Isabella, around the lake and then back into Bakersfield to the 5 south.
They use the exact same meeting points......... Must be the most logical places for meeting points.

City of Mojave is 90 miles from Brentwood, going up 405 > 5> 14> Mojave. Takes me about 75-80 mins with some slight traffic. If you stop at Dennys on Roxford, add 30-34 mins to your ETA. I may join you at Dennys. Probably looking at 10:00 + to get to the mile. <2 <2

We should be there at about 8:40ish, I'll give you a call when we are about 5 mins away that way you can wait for us on the on ramp and we won't have to get off. It's going to be a fun drive.

Mojave Mile was pretty cool! Albeit tough to see, you could definitely tell when a car was hitting 185 + mph.
Bob Griffith had his twin turbo GTS and Jeff Gordon Cup car out at the Mojave Airport.
He tied for the top speed with a 218.3 mph pass!
