I toured this facility at the end of summer and it is FABULOUS ! I knew it would be a great event and venue for our members. Once you get inside your room, you won't want to check out.
>r
Well I guess I have to be there... (cause I have to work there after brunch)... haha
David +1 (Melissa) for brunch.

This one's too good to miss! Paul & Pam will be there. Can't wait to enjoy one of those rooms.
More fun news guys and gals.....
The resort has offered/sent a certain CEO named Ralph a complimentary stay for that weekend so, he can come join us for brunch. Hopefully, he and his family will need a break from the cold and snow at that time of the year! <11
Second...
The resort has offered us a private falconry showing right after brunch ! (normally $500 for groups) I have spent some time around these folks, it is quite a thrill to be upclose personal with these birds of prey. The show lasts 30 minutes for those that are interested from 11:30-12:00.
The spectacular part is watching them fly the birds right past you as seen below! (Don't bring any small dogs.. LOL)

Check back here for addtional updates. I am always working the Resort for more goodies for us!
<u
We're in for the Falconry show! Can't wait! And we're sharing a 3 bedroom Villa with Paul & Teresa, Dave & Lisa. The weekend sounds like a LOT of fun!

For Villa and Casita reservations Jeff Sargent (Property Manager) has returned from his vacation.
Please email him directly at
[email protected] for the Villas and Casita's discount.
If you would like a hotel room go to www.terranea.com and book directly. (no discount)

Things come up and plans can't always be followed; the Winters will be at the Terranea run & brunch but can't go overnight after all. And, the Chrismans and Palkovick's have also had other interruptions to their schedule during this weekend and can't make the over-nighter.
For those of you who would like to share a unit with someone, please post your intentions and see if someone else is looking to share a 2 or 3 bedroom casita.

I know, I know, it's not easy to get up early on a Sunday morning and get going without an adequate supply of coffee in your veins; but for those of you who want to run together and meet up with Lance's group so we can all take the scenic drive to Terranea... and to that MOST EXCELLENT BRUNCH, we are setting up a meet point at the Rest Stop that's about 5 miles North of Oceanside. You need to be there by or BEFORE 7:30 as we'll pull out at 7:35AM and head to Lance's primary meet point so we don't miss his group. It will all be worth it, I promise! Set your alarms and the automatic coffee makers so you can join in the fun!
=27
Laura and I will be making this one.

See you then Jeff and Jenn! Going to be a perfect day!
It is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT out here ! Spent the morning out at the pool overlooking the Pacific. Watched the dolphins swimming and waiting for the whales. Beautiful high 70's and not a cloud in the sky.
Tomorrow should be gorgeous as well. Still room for more so post your name and join us for a beautiful day.
A BIG Thank You to all that attended! Great Day!
The falcon at 200+mph tested Lance's photographic ability... >w
I jumped on a helicopter and took a few pics of the dolphins too!

Big thank you to Dave for putting this event on for us! This was probably the most awesome brunch spread of food we've ever seen, and it all tasted wayyyyy too good. The hawk show was incredible. I wish I could go see that every week. I don't know where I've seen better ocean views and scenery anywhere on the western coast. It's such a beautiful place to visit. So relaxing and gorgeous. And thanks, Lance, for having such a great event for the Club. Pam
I wanted to say thank you to Dave for putting on the Terranea Brunch event. I was really impressed with the quality of everything. The brunch was excellent. I really enjoyed the opportunity to see the Falcon show. The run and everything was most enjoyable! Paul
Thank again for coming out! >t
I can't make many events because I work the weekends so, sometimes I got to bring you guys to me!
More of Lance's work.... >u

WOW looks like the trip up north to pick up the golf cart was nothing to this weekend trip. Hope you put this on again I will be there. Glad you all had a great time. Eddie
One last fascinating factoid below..... and I KNEW there was a Viper connection to Terranea.
Terranea was the site of the former Marlineland of the Pacific form 1954-1987. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marineland_of_the_Pacific
(http://www.pacificbeachlife.com/marineland/mlandaerial.jpg)
As I was Googleing away I knew there was a rich TV/Movie presence here check out the last line.... ^2
While still in operation, the park was prominently featured in several television shows, including two episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies, The Munsters, The Partridge Family, Hart to Hart, Emergency!, The Colbys, Sea Hunt and later, an A Team episode a year before the park closed.[1] In one episode of the Lucy Show, Lucille Ball falls into a Marineland animal exhibit. In 1958, Dixieland jazz artist Red Nichols recorded a live album at Marineland. In an episode of Wonderbug, titled Fish Story, Marineland was integral to the plot. Marineland was also briefly featured in the Charles Bronson film, The Mechanic.
Since its closing, scenes for several feature films have been shot at the location, including the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films, Charlie's Angels, Inspector Gadget, Fun with Dick and Jane, Pearl Harbor, The Aviator, Hidalgo, and Life As A House. For the latter, the suburban neighborhood exterior was entirely constructed from scratch on the site, as it was for Fun with Dick and Jane.
Several TV shows have also used the site for their filming needs, including regular use by NBC's Fear Factor and one episode of Viper.
^8 Who knew.... <m <2
