Dan,
That's why I wanted to see if the club can rent El Toro to have our semi race track or a very fast autox there if you will.  Rent is $3000 a day so if divided by say 30 drivers, it is only $100 each, plus another $50 or so for workers, etc.  Not a bad price for a day of fun close to home.

Hey Bruce,

I like close to home too and will check this out.

The first time we tried to work with El Toro, they wanted 2 million liability insurance and the club carried 1 mil.

The second time, El Toro wanted 5 million and the club had upped their coverage to 2 mil.

Insurance costs are the main issue and could equal the track rental fee.

Corner workers, if required, increase costs.

Ambulance service, if required, increase costs.

Out house rental, if required, increase costs.

If, however, we can rent this track for $3000 and it includes insurance, we may be able to do something here.

Dan,
I've been running at El Toro for at least 5 years after 7 or 8 times a year and have never seen an ambulance there.
The filed there is big but windy at times in the afternoon, just know which direction the wind is blowing when you had to go, no need for outhouse.   ^8

Hey Bruce,

Check the web site.  They offer a 1.5 mile road course - this is where an ambulance may be required.
