We are having our first Tech Day of the year.
We will cover basic mechanical tech on Vipers, as well as track prepping. This event is for anyone who would like to understand basic to intermediate maintenance and safety checks on your Viper.
While tracking your Viper may seem daunting or overwhelming, we will take the time to break down the basics for what you need to know to get your Viper out on a closed course and feel very comfortable doing so. We will also cover the basic safety equipment required and provide info on where to get what you need.

This is going to be a great event for anyone that wants to learn some basic safety checks and maintenance on the Viper. Great for the beginner and intermediate Viper driver.
This looks interesting.
Right now I'm a definite maybe n' really leaning towards being there.
What would you like to see in the event to make it definite?

I'll be there too.
Mike Barland will be there.
I plan on attending.. would like to learn more about the car maintenance and areas to focus on my '98 GTS in regards to track tech and everyday driving.
Me too.
Lance pinned me down, twisted my arm and made me commit.
So I'm in.
Might not drive the Viper though. Little concerned about my clutch.
;) Glad you are coming Mike.
What is up with your clutch?
Lance, if I come will you show the group how to remove and rebuild an EMCO transmission??
;D That is a 20 minute job, but costs $7,500.00 :o

What is up with your clutch?
Just have the sense that it's slipping a bit, that's all. No big surprise.
Its the original OEM clutch with 26K miles.
Car has close to 700hp. Was a little over 700 when I got it.
Been tracked plenty (Drag [
10.43@134mph] & road course COTA X4 & Big Willow)
TONS of Roll Racing.
Plenty of street dominance. ;D
Got a look at the clutch before the purchase last Mar. (for the trans refresh & ACR 5th gear) and it was a little more the 50%.
So... add a newb on the pedals for 9 months.. carry the one.. divide by zero => Prolly time for a new Clutch!
I'm eye ballin' a McLeod from SPT. Or just hangin' with another OEM. Dunno.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. 8)
Hey Lance, change of plans.
Not gonna be able to make this one.
No problem Mike. Will catch you on the next one !
Eddie plus one will come down, but have to leave at 12:00 for stupidbowl party.
Please note that we will be starting at 9:00 am
There will be plenty of parking in the front lot and Scott will have donuts and coffee for us
;)
Hi,
Is this something that attendees should bring their Viper to or more of a hands on situation with cars in the shop?
Is there a fee or just show up?
Thx
We encourage you to bring your Viper
Hey Atari,
Bring your Viper !! This event is free and will be a great opportunity to learn a few things.
Look forward to meeting you.
All you guys that are thinking this event is not for you, you should've there! This is not all about tracking your Viper. This is about learning how to maintain your car as well.

Well said Scott.
You'll learn many simple things that can keep your Viper performing well and safe!!!
You'll also want to buy a 2 post lift like the one Lance has!!!!!
Sounds like fun.
Ron
Come on out Ron !

Hey for those of us that didn't make it, how about posting the agenda of what was covered.. or maybe send out/publish a Tips & Tricks doc for the membership. Or Video.. Eh?
