This is great!!  Thanks for sharing.  I am a big PS3 person (previously PS2 and raced a Viper around Nurburgring many times).  I have Gran Turismo 5 Prolog and Grid and race them with full HD.  I enjoy both a lot.  I have seen the ads for Need for Speed Shift and have been thinking about buying it.  I looks like I will now!

You need to get the car out of the garage, quit babying it, and drive it!!  I have 50,200 miles on my '99 RT/10 and 2400 on my '09 ACR.

I will attend with one guest.  I am looking forward to it.

That sounds good to me.  So far I am available on Oct. 3.  Count me in.

As of last Wednesday there was one of these cars at Orange Coast Dodge on Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa.  I forget what the MSRP was, but the GM told me he would take $20K off the MSRP.

My prayers are constantly with Dave and his family.  Very sad news for a GREAT guy!

I will try to make it as soon as possible in the afternoon.  I am umpiring at a Loyola Marymount tournament that day, but luckily I have the 2 early games.  So if my last game is finished by 12:30 or so, I will race over to Lance's place.  I will plan to bring my '08 ACR.  See you there!!

I picked up my '08 ACR on Wed, Jan 7 in Irvine, but I was not in that area on Monday.  Hmmm, is there another one locally?  Since this red/black color is not being made in '09 and the production numbers I saw showed only 74 being made in '08, I thought it would be unusual to see another one in the area.  Did you see it on a Monday, or perhaps it was me driving it home on Jan 7.

I would love to go but as usual I am running a college softball umpire clinic on that day.  I am dying to get my new '08 ACR (red/black) out on the road to play!!

Upcoming Events of Interest / Storage for my Viper
January 06, 2009, 05:07:30 AM
I am looking for a storage place for my 1999 RT/10 for a few months.  Does anybody have a warehouse or large area (for example, at your business) which I could use?  Thanks.

I was there but I saw only one other Viper, a '96 blue/white stripes GTS with AZ plates.  We ran together for a while and I think I recognized him from previous events.  This Tour was a lot of fun.  Lots of cars (over 150 in my estimation) with plenty of Ford GTs, Vettes (Z06s and plain), old Triumphs, 240Zs, Mustangs GT500, etc.  We ran from meeting place (Fischer and Red Hill) to coast highway via MacArthur, north on Laguna Canyon Rd to 5 then off immediately on Sand Canyon, north to Irvine Blvd to El Toro to Marguerite to Trabuco Canyon to Live Oak to Santiago Canyon, etc.  I have put it down on my calendar for ever year if I can make it.

Track Events / Re: Advanced Car Control Clinic

The event with Speed Ventures in June would work out great for me.  And I will also attend the "2nd annual" car control clinic in the Fall.  Thanks for your efforts, and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Good Cheer!!

I went out on my annual run yesterday with the top down and wearing my Santa suit.  I cruised the Brea Mall and the Festival in Anaheim Hills.  It is great to see everyone's reaction!  One guy was so busy taking pictures while driving next to me that I had to move over so he wouldn't get any closer.  At the next red light he got out of his car to take more pictures and held up the people behind him when the light turned green.

Hope to see all of you soon!
