8th Annual Cruisin' For A Cure

Cruisin' For A Cure is the world's largest one-day car show dedicated to helping find a cure for Prostate Cancer.

All of your entry fee goes directly to the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center for prostate cancer research... not a penny goes to a car club, administration, or individuals!

Show is limited to first 3,400 entries!  Last year was a sell-out and cars were turned away.

Orange County Fair & Expo Center, Costa Mesa CA
Car Show 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Gates open to participants at 4:30AM
www.curisinforacure.com

Open to all rods, customs, muscle & classic cars, Vipers, Corvettes, trucks, specialty vehicles, and PT Cruisers.

The plan is to meet at the Starbucks on the northeast corner of Fairview and Baker at 6:00 am.  We can get coffee and then head over to the OC Fairgrounds at 6:30am as a group.

My understanding is that they have blocked out 14 spots for the SoCal Viper club....but in years past the Prowler club has so many cars that they take our spots as well....  Whut?! >1

If you have any questions, please contact Lance Kouchi at: [email protected].

I have been appointed the task of "coordinating" this event for the SoCal Viper Club.    >5
I have never attended this event...but after reading about it, I decided that it would be not only fun to attend, but also a great cause.

Here is a link to their website: www.cruisinforacure.com
The show is LIMITED to the first 3400 entries and the deadline is just a few weeks away...Aug 10th.

I suppose coordinating  a meeting place for  3  :o cars to meet would be a task that even I can handle ( with some help ofcourse   ;D )  I realize that this is the same weekend as the TCRA event at Willow Springs, so those of you that are not heading to the track, why not join us for this event.

There is even an award for the "Best Viper" and Meguiar's is also sponsoring a few awards which we SHOULD win hands down!!

Let's get the Viper gang together and have some fun.

I sent in my registration last week, so count me in.

Hey Lance,

Check with Randy (from San Clemente).  He and his wife do this every  year and he said we could get a section just for Vipers.

I was thinking on doing this on Saturday and then going up to Willow on Sunday for a day at the track.  Maybe some others would like to do it as well.

Yo Bruce,

I have the contact info for blocking spaces for the Viper Club.  Our only issue will be those who don't register early and we don't get enough reserved spaces.  A notice will be sent out soon...

There are nine of us that will be heading to Cruisin' for a Cure.

This was a "Rain or Shine" event.

We had BOTH.   I think the rain really kept a lot of people away....but 7 Vipers still showed up to support the cause.

The rain forced the camera to stay in the front seat for a large majority of the morning.  I managed to click off a few pictures.

Irregardless of the weather, we still had a great time walking around and talking with the other car owners and checking out some really cool Rides.

I'll post the rest of the pictures later tonight on my site.... www.kouchicentral.com

Bruce is going to convert his SRT10 to a DUB Viper.
Start with 30 inch wheels and add 7,500 watts of audio power  (drains the battery dead in 2 minutes if the cars not running!! )
