National Viper Event 3  -  Las Vegas
May 2 - 5 2018

The Viper Owners Association has pulled out all the stops for this event !  Las Vegas has so much to offer and we are being treated to the best of everything. Our home base for NVE3 is the Delano which is located on the south end of the strip! The address is 3940 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119 and phone is (702) 632-7888.
The Delano is one of the premier 5-star hotels on the Las Vegas strip; it will serve as our host for this wonderful event.

Caravan:
Our plan is to head out on Wednesday May 2nd for Las Vegas.  Our first meet point will be at the  Chevron Station (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Chevron/@34.1059011,-117.5302652,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x80c34a1663e859ab:0x8e6f6b3f3a066ce!8m2!3d34.1059011!4d-117.5287389) 12659 E Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga,  CA  91739      We will be departing the Chevron station at 9:30am.

We will head up the 15 to Barstow where we will stop for a quick bite to eat at Peggy Sue's Diner (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Peggy+Sue's+50's+Diner/@34.9014758,-116.8856317,17z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x80c461722b148641:0xfeb47174e69820ad!2sPeggy+Sue's+50's+Diner!8m2!3d34.9014758!4d-116.8834377!3m4!1s0x80c461722b148641:0xfeb47174e69820ad!8m2!3d34.9014758!4d-116.8834377) located at 35654 Yermo Rd, Yermo  CA

Peggy Sues has us set up for a 11:00am reservation.  We will beat the lunch crowd and there should be plenty of parking. They will be staffed to handle our large group.  There are a few gas stations located very close to Peggy Sue's, so please fill up before parking for lunch.

We should be arriving at the host hotel around 2:00.

For those wishing to meet up with others in your local area, please post up on this thread so that others in your area will know where to meet.

Event Schedule:

Wednesday evening - Reception dinner at the Mandalay Beach   6:00pm - 10:00 pm

Thursday - We have been assigned an early departure time starting anywhere from 7:30am to 8:45am.  It is important for us to leave at our assigned times as this is designed to help alleviate parking issues at Wayne Newton's Estate.   We are lucky to have the early start time, as parking will be a bit easier and we will have plenty of time to tour through Casa De Shenandoah before lunch in the main promenade.   Thursday afternoon and evening is left open for us to do as we please.

We have set up a very special event just for our Club.  Mike Buckingham has made arrangements with his good friend John Grant, who owns Desert 215 Superstore.  John has graciously invited our entire Club to his dealership where we will put all our Vipers on display.  John will be catering in food and drinks for us to enjoy.  To show our appreciation for his hospitality, and after learning about a charity that he is closely associated with, we will be making a small donation to Opportunity Village.  The cost to attend this will be $30.00/person and all proceeds will be presented to Opportunity Village.
We are limited to 80 people, so this will be limited to the first 80 people who register and pay via the PayPal link - http://socalviper.com/events/2018-national-viper-event-iii

Plan on arriving at Desert 215 Superstore at 6:00pm.  This will leave you plenty of time to get back to the hotel to take in a show, gamble or whatever else you would like to do.

Friday - We will spend the day at the awesome Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  Please be sure to take the time now to have your car prepped and checked before we head to Las Vegas.  Dan Cragin at Specialty Performance Team is a great place to have your car checked out. Call him to make an appointment  626-588-2882.  Do not wait to get this done, just in case your car needs to have work done on it.

Gary and Melissa Belvedere has set up a really cool tour at the Neon Graveyard.  We booked 3 tours:  8:00 pm, 8:20 pm and 8:40pm.  Each tour is one hour long and can accommodate 20 people.  The cost is $25.00/person.    We only have 60 spots available and is first come, first served to those that register and pay through the PayPal link:   - http://socalviper.com/events/2018-national-viper-event-iii

Saturday - This is our day to tour Hoover Dam.  We have been assigned specific departure times and it is important for us to follow these in an effort to make sure that everything flows smoothly once we arrive there to park and take the tour.

Saturday evening from 6:30 to 11:00 is our Grand Finale Banquet in the Islander Room

Sunday - check out and departure at your leisure.

Nearing 85 Percent Sold Out After 1 Week
"As of this time, we're crossing over 85% sold out after just one week of registration being open!! Holy cow.

We've greatly outpaced even our own expectations. Given we're so far in advance, we are going to look to expand as much space as possible (without affecting quality). It won't be much but we may be able to add 75-100 more spots, though it seems even that won't last long. Hotel is also past 80%, we're working to try to increase that block, but the hotel foresaw a sellout of all remaining rooms outside of our event so not sure if we'll manage to get more allocated. We want to accommodate everyone who wants to go, but it seems likely we will indeed hit a limit for this event.

This is a reminder to those who haven't registered for NVE3, please get registered! www.driveviper.com/nve3

And of course, we have the 1700 sq ft PENTHOUSE SUITE upgrade raffles happening each month for those already registered! Actually going to be truly fun to award these, they are absolutely ridiculous!"

Hi Omid,
Unfortunately this event is already sold out and closed for registration.  The NVE events have limited space and always sell out quickly.

Are there any Viper passengers thinking of flying out to Vegas?  My wife might be considering the 3:15-4:20pm (May 2nd) flight.  One-way out of John Wayne on Southwest is pretty hilarious right now... $51.00 or 2,448 points + $5.60 security fee.  Cancel anytime before the flight for a credit to be used within 1 year, or if points were used to book, redeposited back to the account holder.

I would like to go to NVE 3.  I have my money ready to give it to anyone that will take it.  But I am currently on the wait list.  I had no idea it would sell out so fast.

Is there someone I can bribe?  Is there a way to squeeze my way in?

Thx

We are definitely working on a few things for this event.  Once we have the details, we will get them posted up.  Lot's of moving parts that have to sync up and plan for, so it will take us just a bit to get it all ironed out.

NVE3 is just around the corner !!!
All registered attendees should have received an email from the VOA with the entire event schedule.

We will be setting up the caravan out for Wednesday with a couple meet points.  This will get posted up shortly.

We have 2 free nights for dinner.   With the help of Mike Buckingham, we have made arrangements for all of us to do something really cool on Thursday evening at the Desert 215 dealership.  They will be setting up a dinner for us there !   We will have special parking for all or our Vipers and will get to meet and spend some time with some very special kids.  We are working out the logistics and details, but this will be a very special evening.

Friday night is an open night for dinner, but we are making arrangements for a tour of the Neon Graveyard.  Once we have the tour times figured out, we will get that posted up.

Stay tuned !!!!!

As we draw closer to NVE3, it looks like a whole bunch of people on the wait list are getting in due to cancellations.   If you were on the wait list and were notified that you are in, please let me know so that I can add you to our list.

I have been communicating with the NVE3 Admins quite a bit and I will be emailing everyone from our region that is signed up with some very important information and caravan plans in the next few days.

Getting very excited to go already !!

I'm towing for sure from San Diego, Rancho Bernardo area.  Peter, if you want to caravan shoot me a text or note.   I plan on leaving as soon as I get the kid to school on Wednesday.   With luck might make lunch.

Also, if you want to throw anything bulky in my trailer let me know and I can haul it out to vegas as I'll only have the ACR in the trailer.  I'm not bringing all my normal track gear

Carl, Can we hook up this week and I give you a rear unmounted tire to take to Vegas??

My CC van and trailer are already up there.  I ran the track on Saturday, I have 1 rear spare up there but may need to replace both.

Easiest way to reach me is via email,  [email protected]

No travel for me this week so I can come your way or meet you somewhere.  thanks!!!!!  Mike

We will have a small group meeting off the 210 at La Tuna canyon off ramp you can call or text me 661-713-3089 Eddie, if you want to join us. I think we will have to meet at 7:15 and leave at 7:30 from there we can meet up with the group in Rancho Cucamonga or go straight to Peggy Sues. It would be awesome to have a big group.

Lena can't make it.  I'm going to check with a couple of friends, but the likelihood they can go at this late date is low, so there is a good possibility there will be an opening.  If anyone knows of someone who wanted to go (or wanted to bring a guest and didn't sign up), I may have a spot.  Ken (805) 685-2030.

NVE3 in Las Vegas was above and beyond all expectations from start to finish !
It was so much fun spending time with all our members that came out.   We truly do have an incredible Viper family !

Officer Carapia came out to meet us and blocked traffic so that we could leave together as a group.  Very cool !

A huge thanks to Mike Buckingham and John Grant who is the owner of Desert 215.  John and his team catered in dinner for all of our So Cal members in his beautiful showroom.

They had the entertainers from Opportunity Village come over and sing / dance for us

We gave them all a Club shirt and made them honorary members.  These guys ROCKED !

They are very special individuals and seeing them smile and have a great time with our Vipers was very heart warming.

We teamed up with John Grant and donated money to Opportunity Village which does a ton of work teaching, caring for and supporting these special needs people and their families.

Thanks for taking so many great pictures.  It was an incredible week.  Thanks also to all of the SoCal people who organized so many great things for us.  I don't know exactly who did what, but the whole time was wonderful.

While the future of the Viper is unknown, it's great to know that our club is thriving!
