Hey Kala,

Don't know about Big Bear yet, but will try real hard to do the Ventura/Glenn/Stephanie run.

Hope to see you then.  How do you like your 2008 engine hood?  Do you feel a temperature difference in the cockpit?

A Viper friend of mine asked me how I kept beating him at "roll ons" the other day (in Mexico of course).

My response was the same as yours Phil, "cheating my friend, cheating".

Well Dan, great minds think alike....

Hey Dan,

SpeedVentures also has laptime transponders available!  Reserve early however.

Their websites shows this as a 3-day event with a different track configuration for Friday.

Friday 11th: track configuration #1, CCW

Sat & Sun (12 &13): track configuration #13, CW

One can participate 1, 2 or 3 days.

Cost for one day only: S190.00.

Cost for all three days: $530.00

Instructors are also available for a very reasonable fee.

For everybody who has not participated in Viper Days yet, Buttonwillow is a great learning track, very technical and not as fast as Willow Springs but has more turns and is on a much flatter surface.  This would be a great place for a "Track Baptism" so we hope to see new many folks finding out what the Viper is all about, can do it in a safe environment and in great company and learn new driving techniques.

Will try to make it for this one!

Hey Phil,

One of the track groups that I've run with, speed ventures, has events at Laguna Seca.

Check their website:  www.speedventures.com for more info.

Dan

Many thanks for this great info Dan!

Happy New Year to you and Cathy and your family.

I would also like to take this occasion to let you know how much all of us at SoCal VCA appreciate your inspired leadership, your unflinching dedication and your contagious enthusiasm for all things Viper!!

Many thanks for all you have done in 2007.

Never made it to this one yet!
I would have to leave very early from Marina Del Rey to be there at 7.00 A.M.  <2  <m  <2

Will try, since I would like to congratulate O OGO O for his "Member Of The Year" Nomination!  ^9  ^9  ^9

If not, Happy New Year to everybody in SD County and thanks again to "Oh Great One" and "Race Yellow Richard" for organizing some great cruises in 2007!

Hey Dan,

Did you say Laguna Seca?   <2  <m  <2

The Corkscrew?   <L   <K  >2

Count me in!   ;D  8)

Let me know when (due to noise abatement laws & regulations, track time is not very easy to schedule).

Joining a track group would indeed be the best option Dan.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!

Many thanks to Dan and Cathy Everts for turning 2007 into a very special year for all of us here at SoCal VCA and to Lance Kouchi for taking and posting so many great event pictures here and on his website, allowing those of us who missed any event to vicariously participate in "Virtual Time Delay"!

"Member Of The Year" well deserved Lance!
