The WSIR time should have set the record but it was not official with the track... It was a Viper weekend when the new 2013's were there with none other then Ralph Gilles.  That weekend was a blast, I was turning 1:25's with my son and passengers in the car!

With a heavy heart I am selling my Snake!  It's time to transition into full wheel to wheel racing.  Please spread the Word.  This EXACT Viper was featured on Mobil 1 the Grid when I took the car and finished first place in the Global Tuner Grand Prix.  Here are some amazing track times, remember this is a street viper almost as fast as Porsche Cup Cars.

This car is ready to race, just get it start it up and you are racing at light speed!

Laguna Seca 1:34.1
WSIR 1:24.1
ButtonWilow 1:55.7

I will definitely have in car video with overlay of Speed, Throttle and Braking... I also got a new GoPro with the remote feature and will set up a really cool out side of the car shot on the drivers side so you can see my hands, track and racing line... Check out my YouTube Chanel and the 2nd or 3rd video down is my buddy Jesse chasing me, wow talk about fast hands.  That video is insane and I am going to try and set the same camera angle up, I didn't have to work nearly that hard.

Count me in 100% for this event and 50% for ButtonWillow....  Yes we should have a dinner Saturday, the Viper guys Rock!..... I am going to be sporting my new set of Brembo GT-R brakes custom built for the Viper ACR.... I am also going to try and hit my best time at the track and aim for a 1:24 or 1:25 that would be insane!  My best time to date is a 1:26.8

It was great seeing the Viper gang at Laguna Seca.  Here are 2 excellent videos of this past weekend from great car angles.  Watch the steering input on the featured video.  I was doing next to nothing and turned a fast 1:34.1 (official my gps says 1:34.2).

Then look at the second video camera mounted on a Porsche.  The really cool cam angel on my buddy Jesse's 4.0 liter Porsche GT3 RS shows great chasing action and amazing driver input!

Cheers to the new 2013 Viper GTS-R coming soon to a track near you!

OK a few Viper Members have been asking what kind of Cam set up I have and what I am using for data and or Data / Video overlay.  Here is the scoop

I currently use the AIM MXL Pista Pro Data Acquisition, it has a cool dash and show lap times, speed, gear and oil temp as well as a flashing light for fuel.  I am however going to change that to the Motec Club Racer data.  The reason is they are many more Motec users and Professional Drivers using that system and you can over lay data from some of the Top Pros to see exactly where they are gaining time and you are loosing time.  Its was a real eye opener at the last track event at Willow Spring.  I only looked at it and the last day and shaved 2 seconds off my time at Willow Springs to a 1:26 from a 1:28.

The camera used on this Video is very good.  Its the Smarty Cam!  Its has its own GPS that you set with the Aim or Motec and automatically overlays the data for you.  I have the throttle and brake sensors installed as extras so you can see the amount of break and throttle.

The third system I use (Yes I am a nut for redundancy) Is the new Traqmate Track Dash!  I LOVE THIS as you can actually see your lap times and it has a progressive feature that show if you are going faster or slower than the previous / or Best lap of the session.  This system works well for me.

Any more questions please don't hesitate to ask, you can e-mail me at [email protected]

ALSO and NOTE FROM CHRYSLER for ALL Viper ACR 1:33 Car owners.  The Replacement RED wheels are scheduled for shipment in Mid March so hopefully we will see our new wheels at the end of march.  I was just told that about 5 Minutes ago.  Maybe Dan or Lance and post this as a separate Heading in the forums!

I will be coming for sure!  Last time I ran Fontana was Jan 14th and 15th (No other vipers to play with) so I had to eat up a pro driver in a Porsche GT3 RS!  He didn't like it to much, he was trying to block me and defend the line (well the entire track)  Check out the action on my YouTube!  I had a passenger and my rear axle boots were shredded and still turned a 1:45.1

See you all soon!

Dan count me and Dalton in!  I am doing what you suggested Dan and going to rent him a car so he can hit the track for the first time.  Are there going to be instructors for him?  Or should I plan on teaching him?  Also how do I sign up!  We had to leave Willow early as he was not feeling well, I think he would have been better if he could ride along with his dad!  :-)

Garry G   Finally turned a 1:27.5 at Willow man that was fast!
