The Southern California Viper Club's annual Christmas party will be a VERY special event this year and one that we hope all members will attend. Location: Petersen Automotive Museum 6060 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90036 http://www.petersen.org/ (http://www.petersen.org/) Time: Cocktails  6:30 Dinner  7:30 We have a maximum head count of 140 people.  It is imperative that you register and sign up early well in advance of November 29th. Cost: Payments made by   October 31st.....$100.00 per person Payments made after   November 15th.....$125.00 per person R.S.V.P. by November 29th !

We have reserved the entire first floor and will enjoy a delicious catered dinner in and amongst the beautiful collection of cars and exhibits.  

Parking is $8.00 (paid at the time of arrival) and they have reserved the 3rd floor of the parking structure for our group.

In addition... a private tour of the Vault has been arranged for those interested!  This is a rare opportunity as not too many people get to view this area of the museum.  Only 25 people may tour the Vault at one time and there will only be three tours.  Tour times will be at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 PM and will be $20 per person payable upon arrival. If you're interested please let us know ASAP as we need to fill the tours to offset costs. Tours will be handled on a first come first served basis.

This party will also be the closing event for our current club President. We all know how much Dan and Cathy have done for our club and they deserve a huge THANK YOU !  

Your commitment to attend this event will show them how much we appreciate all that they have done over the last 4 years.  

It will also be a great way to welcome in our new Club President, Lance Kouchi, and ensure that our club will continue to be the best car club in the Nation.

I did a walk through at the Petersen today and can tell you that the ground floor is going to be a very cool setting for our party this year.

A very special opportunity to tour "The Vault" has been arranged for the first 50 paid attendees of the Christmas Party.  

The Vault is rarely opened up for visitors, but after months of asking, two groups of 25 will be given a special tour.

If you have already signed up and paid for the Christmas Party, you need to let us know if you would like to tour the Vault and we will add your name to the Vault Tour list.

The cost will be $20.00 per person

The first 25 person tour will leave the Lobby area PROMPTLY at 5:30.......
The second group of 25 will leave the Lobby area PROMPTLY at 6:00.

Do not miss your assigned time as they will not wait for you and you will not be allowed to switch  groups once you have been assigned a time.

NOMINATION DEADLINE is December 31, 2010

The purpose of the Paniolo Hall of Fame is to recognize individuals for their part in perpetuating the ranching industry in Hawaii, and for their unique contributions to our Paniolo culture and heritage.

Please use the following criteria to make your nomination in one of the 3 categories. A person may qualify in all 3 categories.  Nominees must be 55 years of age or older.

Please note:  At this time, preference is being given to the older generation – those who are now in their 70's and 80's.  Also, deceased persons may be nominated.

Founder
Someone who established and/or maintained a cattle ranching operation in Hawaii that contributed to perpetuating the ranching industry and paniolo culture.

Ranch Manager
Someone who has managed the livestock, business and personnel aspects of a cattle ranching operation in Hawaii.

Ranch Hand
Someone who was or is a working paniolo, wrangler, livestock handler or all around hand on a Hawaii cattle ranch.

There are many nominations and few openings, so please provide the committee with factual information about your nominee so that he/she can be considered. For examples of factual information, you may read members bios on our webpage at: HICattle.org.

I'll be emailing everyone in the next day or two....
You are scheduled on the 6:30 Vault tour.  The tours will leave PROMPTLY at their scheduled times.  We have to move a lot of people through the vault and can not wait for people so PLEASE plan accordingly.
If you happen to get to the Petersen early (highly recommended) you can always tour the museum itself or go through the gift shop.  Just make sure you are ready to get in the elevator with your scheduled tour group.
