I'm going to try to make it, but i'm not 100% yet.  I'm moving to denver the weekend after this.

Signed up and paid!!!   Just curious, if we sign others up for the food and banquet, what else can they do?  I know they can't ride along on the track...

I am definitely going to have to figure out how to keep them clean....not looking forward to it.

Assuming i didn't get scammed, i have a nice set of gen 2 acr BBS rims on the way, and i figure i should probably sell my stock 97 rims with essentially new tires (maybe 1 year old, and low miles).

Anyone have any idea how much i should be looking to get for these?  The 97 rims are in okay condition, but definitely aren't perfect.

Finally got my car back from glendale dodge.  Seemed to come out okay.  I worked with roger and would encourage anyone else to do that as well.

Battery was almost dead and there may have been a new scratch or 2 on the car, but i'm not sure if i just didn't notice it before.  They did say they had found cracks and repaired them.

So i can't really comment on quality of work, but they got it done.

Hey everyone,

My original plan was to wait for the new SA2015 helmets, but now that all the SA2010 helmets are on clearance, i'm starting to consider that as well to save a few bucks...

background:  I am just getting into track days and will be buying my first helmet.

Is getting a SA2010 helmet worth the 25% off compared to the new SA2015 helmets considering that i'd have to get a new helmet in 5 years?  What do you guys think? The real question on my mind is if I get into track days, will I want to buy a new or better helmet in 5 years anyway?    I'm planning on getting a Bell helmet around 400-500 dollars.

Glendale dodge seems like they will be doing the work.  They said they were waiting on a liquid, which I would assume to be a liquid penetrant for non destructive evaluation of the welds.  The fact that they have started to pursue this and still think they can do it makes me think they can do it as well.

I also heard back from an SRT specialist.  They said they had worked with Shaver Dodge in Thousand Oaks and they were impressed.  That may be another lead.

On my last resort.  The car is at Glendale Dodge.  We will see what happens.

I also have an inquiry in to dodge to see if they will reimburse the labor if I have to pay someone to do the work.

After many phone calls with Dependable Dodge assuring me they could do the recall, I dropped my car off there to be told they can't do the recall.  Seems like Dependable Dodge has no idea what they are talking about.  Trying Glendale Dodge next..  They told me they could do it.

Quick Update:

I talked to freddy at Dependable Dodge in Canoga Park.  He said they were able to do it and said they would have no problem with this recall (although I can't imagine a dealer saying they can do it, but wouldn't do a good job).

I'm going to schedule an inspection there in the coming weeks and talk to them more then.
