Thanks for the tires Dan.  Who says you can't run a 305 on the back of a Viper?  <1

Dan, bring those 305 Toyos to the track.  I will plan to run on Sat only.
#78
Yep, I'll take them too!
Thanks Dan.

Johnathan,

How would this event be for the rookies out here?

$99 for track time is really great!

Dave, this group would be perfect for a rookie.  They always have good instruction/classtime for rookies.  I'm also an instructor for this group so I could also work with you if you register for the event.  Buttonwillow is a great track to learn on.

He usually gets a good crowd, but he does limit the number of entries.  As it does get warm in June, I would reserve a garage now.  I spoke to Luc last night and the configuration will be full course w/Star Mazda and Bus stop,  counter clockwise.  I do believe you get 5 sessions per/day.  Hope to see some Vipers there.  Dan, get that ACR squared away so we can see what it can do!

A good opentracking group will be at Buttonwillow on June 6-7 for $99/day.  I've run with them numerous times.  The owner is a Viper owner and is on the VCA.  The group is well run and the price can't be beat.

Dan,
You have picked up on the Racer's mantra very fast.  "It's never the driver, always the car!  >v

I thought one of the local shops had already set the car up before Viper Days?

I requested clockwise for our group as I believe it to be safer ..... and we'll have a

Dan, you're going to have to practice counterclockwise one of these days!
CCW is awesome, especially entering the bus stop from Talladega.  CCW is a better direction, oh well.

They changed the configuration to layout 13.

Clockwise/Counter-Clockwise?

Makes a big difference in track alignment and times.

Well done Dan.  Congrats on te 2:05.  It felt slower because you were smoother.  Using the lower gears through those specific sections I spoke to you about allowed you to pull harder out of those corners instead of the car lugging.  Nice job Dan.

I'm betting it won't be long before you are being chased by Manny and Jonathon.

Do I hear a wager?    <9
