I'll  be up Friday probably a little after noon.   Do we want to find an area in the pits to be together?  If so, I'd say maybe about the middle behind Hartman garage and the lunch room.  I'll park near there if I'm first up.  I'll stand up my SRT flag if the wind isn't to bad.

I was up with OTR last Wednesday.   It was fairly warm and more breezy by afternoon which is typical.

For the noobies, Besides your race prep stuff.....Bring water and stay hydrated.

I may have a set of used R7 hoosiers that could be good for the weekend if anyone is interested 315-18 and 345-19 for a gen V.   I'd sell them for $300 if anyone wants them.    email me [email protected]

See you all there!

I just signed up.  I will be back in the Viper for this event instead of the radical.

Seriously, if you haven't been out on the track in your viper give this a try.  Go in green group snag an instructor and you will have fun.

I know a few of us from San Diego will be there.

Hi everyone,I am working with, though not for, Carl Burger Dodge in La Mesa. Their goal is to be a bigger more involved SRT dealer and we have discussed ways for that to grow.  Sometime next year the plan is to have me join them and help host social events like car shows, get togethers and track days all focused around the SRT line.  As part of end goal I told them they would have to work with folks I know from the clubs on special pricing lower than than the retail sales guys can offer to walk in customers.  They have agreed with the understanding they cannot lose money like some of the dealers are that are selling well below actual  costs of the Viper (we've all seen those deals).  They are committed enough to have done two dealer trade to bring two additional Vipers into SoCal.  Those two are with Reliable  Transport on their way here now.So I bring this up in the event anyone is looking to move into the Gen V or any other SRT vehicles.  If so, and you like any of the showings at Carl Burger let me know and I will see if we can get you the deal you need to move into that direction.   Personally I don't make a dime on this but I do have a goal to work part time for them early next year as my semi retirement job  :) Shoot me an email if you'd like to discuss furtherThanks,Carl[email protected]

Car looks alot better in the pics that it does in real life.  It ran good, but it isn't real fast yet.  I also had some clutch cable issues that have now been corrected added some time to the laps.   It handles very good but needs more HP and then taller gears for Willow.  this one is a GT-WC which is the GTS with a smaller motor.  4.6L Ford 4V.  Lots to learn about it.  It was built in 1999 and run in the series.   It is definitely a used racecar.

They will fit gen 3 and 4, not sure about 5 but probably.
There is an adapter to remount the parking brake included.  I'm not sure how or what it does.  Still in the box but these have been on a Gen 4 before.

I drove this track once on an invitational.  I was a smooth awesome track.  If I could get up there I'd do it.  It's a long ass tow from SD.  But it is a way fun track...some nice fast sessions.  I wasn't in a viper, but it would be a good track for a Viper in my opinion except that hairpin into the front straight...whew....

Track Events / track stuff for Gen 2 for sale
September 29, 2014, 08:02:18 PM
I sold my last Gen 2 and have a bunch of left over stuff.

Track wheels, though good enough for a bad ass street Viper.  I posted those in the parts for sale.

But I have a bunch of other stuff
Brake bias valve, still new in the package, rear toe brackets new in the package, fire ext with fresh black powder coated bracket, tow hooks front and rear, black powder coated,, vented hood cowl.  Probably other stuff that I need to search for in the garage.

Anyone interested in anything shoot me an [email protected]

Thanks
Carl
