Track Events / Re: Yesterday at Willowsprings

The anti toe brackets worked great.  Car stayed stable over the bumps that are in my brake zone going into one.  I did manage to lock a front left with the old street tires though and couldn't get it rolling again.  That caused a minor spin.

My video recorded didn't seem to work or else I'd post videos of the day.

I'd say this was a subtle worthwhile addition.

The roe kit allowed me to run full sessions without the heater without getting getting to hot.  I wish I had don't that along time ago.  All those laps with the heater......never again.

Great day, sure beat work!

132.47 on my data logger.  I didn't get all the sessions but that could be my best of the day.  Lots of low 133s also.

FWIW...old street tires suck....137 on them pushing real real bad.  I strongly suggest that one doesn't use 2+ year old pilots at the track.

I was being careful   ::)

I REALLY didn't want to screw up and be the talk of the board.  My old street tires leave a lot to be desired.

My friend Scott took some photos.  Many while we were on course.

I know a few of us are staying over here.

Not sure of the place though but it's the new "Track" hotel as the previous place became a retirement home.  I think the price is $79 per night.

If they have passing it will be point by and only on the straight.  I think the slow group starts off with practice passing on the front straight and by sunday goes to point bys.  I have some friends and the wife going up and the passenger seat probably won't be empty or else I'd offer you a ride in one of the sessions.  There will be a lot of cars on the track as compared to other events like next wednesday's deal.

Once you rent a garage it stays yours by default which is cool.  Paul and I are sharing it but you all feel free to stop by.  Bring a chair if you want to sit in the shade.

Mike...have you tracked this car before or driven Willowsprings at all?  I suspect you'll have one of the faster cars in your group.  It will be good practice for Viperdays when they run there next spring.  If you can stay part of Sunday I strongly suggest it.  You might, big might, be able to move up a group if you're doing well depending on room.

I've got a garage rented, the one next to Saxton's, so stop by and say hi.

If it's true you have passes to the track I'd like to sign up for two.

Thanks,

David and I are close to the same size.

I'm having a vision of Clint Eastwood in that Firefox movie.  Once the helmet and driver suit are one....no one would be the wiser.

.......hummmmm......

We all know who really runs the company.  Just admit it and come on up.

good.  I have the 2000 Gray with Silver stripes GTS.  I'll be parked near an orange C6 and a blue/green Z28.

I'll be at the event and would like to join up in the parade laps.  I'll have my car prepped for Willow the following Wednesday but I will put the street tires on it to drive down for Sat.

I'll hook up for breakfast to get the passes and to caravan.
