 Sunday morning on the 14th of Sept, I had the privilege of riding with Southern California Viper Club President, Dan Everts at Willow Springs. We traveled the track at a time of 1 minute and 36 seconds, and what a ride it was. Dan won't blow his own horn on some of his past accomplishments; However Winning 2 Baseball World Championships takes a mind set that not everyone has. Riding with Dan was very smooth, robotic and fast. I am quite sure, If Dan had decided to give up everything, (in his younger years) and dedicate his life to auto racing, He would be in the World Champion Class in Motorsports. Dan keeps it a family affair, and would rather share his passion with new members than turn his passion into obsession, However if you lock horns with Dan on the track, Be Aware, that World Champion mind set has never left him. P.S. Having Drag Raced most of my life, I was looking for the Parachute release at the end of every straight away............Thanks, Lyle @ DC Performance

The price is $350.00 and only 10 to 15 cars are allowed, This gives some more time to per vehicle for data. Please send entry money in by the 15th as the number of vehicles to the above numbers................ <2]

DC Performance is one of the few companies that offer Ram SRT performance computer upgrades. We thoroughly test all of our products and pcm upgrades on our Dynojet model 224 chassis dyno. This ensures that you, the customer, get the most performance for your money.

We can supply recalibrated brand new controllers, or can recalibrate the controller that's already on your vehicle. Besides our standard flash, we can help with any custom tuning that your car may need. DC Performance has experience working with just about every combination of parts and tuning systems that may be on you vehicle , and has a reputation for helping people make their cars run right , when other shops have given up .

Our standard SRT recalibrations include:

- RAM SRT / REGULAR CAB
     • Revised fuel and timing strategies
     • Cooling fan temperature lowered
     • Overall smoother running, with improved torque through most of the operating range of the motor

- RAM SRT / QUAD CAB (AUTOMATIC)

[Driver Hugh Hoard in his 1997 Viper GTS is the first person ever to exceed 200mph in the mile at the Silverstate High Noon Shootout in Ely Nevada.]

Driver Hugh Hoard in his 1997 Viper GTS is the first person ever to exceed 200mph in the mile at the Silverstate High Noon Shootout in Ely Nevada.
At 6500 feet elevation huge amounts of power are needed to push a vehicle past 200mph. For the past 5 years tuners from all over the world  have battled to break the double ton in Ely Nevada and now it has been done. With a 202mph top speed Hugh Hoard and DC Performance have shattered the existing record by 12mph.

The accomplishment was not achieved without drama. On the final pass of the day  Hoard (worried about lack of shutdown) deployed his parachutes at 200mph. A sudden gust of wind sent the car into a fishtail and despite his exceptional job of gathering the car back up the run ended in an off-road excursion. After a checkout by local paramedics and the Fire support crew Hoard was confirmed unharmed. Damage to the vehicle was not extensive.

Hoard's 99 GTS features numerous upgrades including twin Vortech superchargers, nitrous oxide injection and an automatic transmission. His next goal is to attempt to break the land speed record for a Viper (248mph) at the Bonneville salt flats. His vehicle is built and supported by DC Performance in Los Angeles a performance specialty shop.

DC PERFORMANCE BUILDS WORLDS FASTEST QUAD CAB!

10.73 ¼ mile at 125mph 

 

At Famosa Raceway in Bakersfield California, Mike Brady has broken the worlds record for a street legal Dodge SRT Ram Quad Cab for the ¼ mile. The truck was prepared by DC Performance Inc, a specialty shop in Los Angeles Ca.  The truck is driven daily, averages 14mpg on the highway and has some very unique features. The ten-cylinder power plant was built by Exotic Engine in Temecula and features a Paxton Supercharger and Nitrous Oxide injection. A special transmission by Westminster Transmission and a Dana 60 differential put the power to a set of huge Mickey Thompson tires.

 

When interviewed Brady indicated he is still leaving a lot of power on the table and just waiting for someone to challenge his record. Look to the future for record-breaking runs.
