I got a call from West Coast Customs on May 1st at 2:00 informing me that due to circumstances out of their control, they are cancelling our tour on Saturday May 4th >o


It took some doing but I PROMISE, you will not be disappointed with what we were able to arrange at such last moment.  
We will be touring the Day Family Classic Car Collection.  This is a privately owned collection and includes well over 175 cars.  This facility is NOT open to the public and getting invited inside the doors of this facility are VERY hard to come by.  

We will have our own private tour.    The address is listed below.  Please arrive in their parking lot no later than 10:00 !!!!  The tour will begin promptly at 10:15 and we will have to exit the facility at 12:00 noon.

Please do not be late!  They are stepping way over the line to help us out.




WHAT:
- Tour Day Family Classic Cars
-  This will be a private tour of an INCREDIBLE privately owned collection
-Cost is $15.00/person
-Lunch will be at the Hidden Valley Golf Course -  Taco Bar out on the beautiful patio $15.00/person   Paying by cash will greatly speed things up for all

You will love this course !   It has tons of elevation changes and is quite challenging.  I'd play with you, but the way my game is right now......well, I LOSE balls at the DRIVING RANGE  >1

Since lunch is 12:30 (and in case we run late) I have us down for a 2PM tee time for 4. If we are done with lunch early (it is pretty wide open) they will let us go earlier...

If it's okay, Mikey will join us for the tour and golf to make a foursome.

Change of plans, Lance will be our fourth for golf. Mikey didn't really want to play so I let him off the hook since Lance is up for it.

I just noticed that I never replied.  If it's not too late I plan to attend.  Jennifer can't make it, so it's just me.

I will still be at Krispy Kreme in Orange at 9:00 am.   If you are not meeting us there, go directly to the Day Family Classic Cars facility and wait in the parking lot.  We will collect $15.00 from each person prior to entering the museum.

Sorry, but I think I'll try to get in to the track event at Auto Club Speedway so scratch me off the list for the tour and golf.

 >8  Jen and I will be there.  We will be starting the day at the Gelsons Dana Point Cruise-in (corner of PCH and Crown Valley Parkway) just north of Dana Point.  The gathering starts at 7 AM...usually about 50-70 cars of all types.  We will be pulling out at 8 AM sharp to drive over the Ortega Hwy. to Corona.  We invite one and all to join us.  There is a Starbucks at the cruise-in site so you can fuel up there if you like.

Just got back home from a nice weekend.  It was nice to cruise down south with the SD guys.

We checked in to the Valley View hotel and ran into Kurt and Kathy and also David and his family Sat evening.   =28

Tom and Diane Day have collected some really cool cars from many different time periods and genres.  They not only collected the car, but also original memorabilia tied to the time period or car itself.   Every car on display had special meaning and significance and spared no expense building display scenes for them.

Thank you all for coming out and sharing in this special event.  Our admission money collected was donated to the Orange County Children's Hospital through the generous efforts of the Day Family.  How cool is that !

Golf was harder than it looked, the course was tough and windy. I shot a 92    >o   not my A game, David does not keep score but we had a blast. It was a long day did not get home until 9pm.

Now I'm kinda glad I didn't play. If you shot a 92 it would have been really ugly for me, way into the 100's!
