Bowling? Why not!!! Followed by a Member's BBQ

Our members, Anthony & Wanda Matranga, have graciously opened their doors to the Viper Club for a BBQ - but suggested we start with something a little out of the ordinary - a bowling competition (maybe convertibles vs. coupes - maybe its just for fun). Anthony & Wanda (the very same members that print the SoCal Club's Review) would like to invite the club down to their neck of the woods. First lunch along the way, then bowling at Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino in Indio, followed by a BBQ at Anthony's home in Palm Desert.

We'll be meeting at the various meeting points then head east. In Rancho Mirage, we'll stop for lunch at Applebee's where we'll meet up with Anthony and others. Then head to Fantasy Lanes.

If you're interested in staying in the area for the night, Palm Desert has a Marriott Courtyard - and Palm Springs has just about everything.

LA/Malibu Meet Time: 8:30 -- Depart 8:45 AM (50mi.)
Arrive OC Starbucks 9:15 AM -- Depart 9:45 AM (33mi.)

Arrive Applebee's 11:30AM -- Depart 1:00 PM (12mi.)
Arrive Fantasy Lanes 1:30 -- Depart 00:00 (15mi.)

I haven't bowled since 6th grade.

Maybe we can do a team competition, convertibles vs. coupes or ?

Ruth and Nino will try this bowling thing. I'm glad to see some others have not been bowling for some time. I might need some help with scoring. How many points do you get for a gutter ball?

We will be in town then (Outdoor Resorts-Indio) and will plan on visiting.

Got an offer to drive with the So Cal Mini Maniacs up to the Vasquez Rocks and beyond on Saturday. Should be a difficult decision, Bowling or Twisties in a John Cooper Works Mini? I just can't decide ^6 Is the "Bhagwan Dave from the Universe of Big Brakes Enlightenment" coming?

This was a VCA Members only event hosted by Anthony and Wanda in Palm Desert.
It was a great day of driving, eating, bowling, more eating and best of all visiting with club members at the spectacular 5 star Matranga Tuscan Villa.
