The SOCAL VIPER CLUB is invited to ~
Hot Summer Nights For Sports Cars in Fallbrook

When~

Friday, June 12th from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.   Three blocks of the downtown "Village Area" of Fallbrook will be closed to traffic.

What~
Hot Summer Nights is an old fashioned community event in the downtown "Village" area
of Fallbrook.  This event will feature Sports Cars and Exotics.  Other car club invitees will be the Ferrari, Cobra, Maserati and Porsche Clubs among others. Cars are parked diagonally on the street for viewing and judging (not a Concours).   Trophies for Judges Choice, Best Sports Car and Best Club effort will be presented.  Recipients of the trophies will be asked to speak briefly about their cars and club.

There will be club parking for each car club participating.  If your club will have more than seven cars coming (and we hope that is the case), it is recommended that a parking coordinator be appointed.  Have them contact me to be sure of where and how to park for your club.

Where~
Fallbrook is an out of the way town in No. San Diego County.  It is a lovely agrarian area most noted for avocados, that has maintained a Village atmosphere in the downtown area.  Fallbrook is a great venue for displaying cars on the street.  The village/downtown area is like going back in time fifty years ago in CA.  Its all older but beautifully preserved stores and shops in a very relaxed atmosphere.  You can't really see or enjoy this kind of event anywhere else!  Try to get there by 5:00 if you can but you will get parked in fine fashion if you arrive later.  (See the map attached).

Amenities~
Food vendors will be serving food plus several nice restaurants will be open in the downtown area.  In the center of all this is the Village Square where wine, beer and soft drinks can be purchased.  Most of us will be going to Sour Dough Pizza to eat after the event.

There will be live music by LastOneDone.

Shops will be open and there will be one or more restaurants anxiously looking forward to receiving club members who wish to get together for dinner afterwards.

This event is part of several "Hot Summer Nights" events put on by Connections of Fallbrook, a group of local business people who believe in community support.

Expect to have a good time if you join us as we celebrate the beauty of Sports and Exotic Cars in Fallbrook.

<2 Hey gang, here are some last minute notes about our Tram day...

We have been given our own private parking lot referred to as the "Fox" lot and we'll be shuttled up to the tram from here.  We need to arrive as a unit so please be at the final meet location by 11:30AM, the Union Gas Station off I-10 at Indian.

Everyone will need to check in with me at the Union Station so I can purchase the correct number of tickets; which I'll pass out before we begin our tram ride up.

The weather is calling for partly cloudy and 84° at the base of the hill.  Remember, it will be considerably cooler at the top - may want to bring something warm to wear too.

We have 35 Vipers signed up for this event - should be a blast!   >g

Thanks and we'll see you there!

Cathy

VIPER CLUB FAMILY PICNIC

This is a great venue with ample parking that will work well for our members and their families.  We have reserved a large shaded structure against the hillside adjacent to a large grassy field and sand volleyball court.

There will be a moon-bounce for the kids - or the adults if they feel like indulging...

Tulsa Rib Company will again cater this event - and their food is great...

We will have a tug-o-war (verts vs coupes?)...

A water balloon toss...

And raffle some goodies. Bring your footballs and Frisbees, friends and family!

This is an event for singles, couples or the whole family - bring your kids, grand kids, parents or grandparents - maybe even a sibling or two!

Supercar Sunday, Calabasas; World Class Motoring, Agoura then Lunch
Last year was such a success that we've planned a do-over...

Hey Viper Club,

The Supercar Show is huge! There's nearly every car you can imagine. After our visit here, about 10AM,  I'll plan on leading the group through the hills on a nice twisty drive (a different route then last year). The view at the top is fantastic, and the drive is fun. We'll stop at World Class Motoring for a little child's play...  About 11:30AM we'll head to Wood Ranch BBQ for a nice lunch.

This year, there are only a couple of events in the Ventura county area, I hope you can make this one and help pack the car show with Vipers.

DYNO DAY at DC PERFORMANCE - Saturday, July 11th <2

Dan Cragin of DC Performance has agreed to sponsor the club by holding a "Dyno Day" and Open House at his shop.  DC will provide donuts and coffee in the morning and lunch around noon.  The first 20 Viper owners who sign up for this event will get 3 dyno pulls with a print out of their results for only $50.00 each (payable to DC Performance at time of Dyno pull).  Dan will then donate $25.00 for each car dyno'd to the So Cal Viper Club.  If we can get at least 20 people to come to the event and do the dyno pulls, we can put $500.00 into the club's general fund.

This event is for all members, so even if you don't dyno your car, come watch, eat and hang-out with the rest of us – please R.S.V.P. though...

9AM - DYNOs WILL BEGIN AND WILL RUN THROUGH THE DAY UNTIL COMPLETE 2:30ish

I looked at the hotel website today and rooms are $300 - $360 per night <D

Any chance there are rooms that are blocked off and not used?
I'd kinda like to go, but not at 600-900 just for room fee's...  >o

Hey Kala,  I just book two additional rooms through www.Hotels.com at $145 for each Friday & Saturday nights.  Try them...

Is this event on rain or shine? I saw there is rain in the forecast for Saturday. Got my 6 point harness so if this event is still on I will be there.

Absolutely - This is a rain or shine event!

Hey David,

Last year we all got SEVERAL passes 2-3 times Friday and Saturday (I wasn't there Sunday).  This is an extremely well run event and not a madhouse at all.

The $75 is for access to the complete event, there are loads of vendors to check out, every kind of Mopar you can think of to see, and the Viper group will have the Skybox to hangout in and watch the drags.  This $75 also includes the drags that you'll do and access to the MATS entertainment on Friday night.  Really quite a deal.

Hey Lance,
Drew will caravan up with you guys on Friday - might want to keep your distance  =15

We did tell him that if he gets a ticket on the way, he won't get to drive at Viper Days  =17

p.s. Map links to Lance's caravan locations are in the 1st post...
