We are headed back in time to visit the Calico Ghost Town.
In 1881, Calico made its way onto the map as settlers came in to mine for silver. They pulled over 20 million dollars worth of silver in a short 12 year period.
When the silver prices dropped in the early 1890's, the miners all left and the town of Calico was abandoned.
Many of the buildings have been restored to it's original state and it is a great place to walk around. They have a few restaurants for us to grab a bite to eat.

Eddie and Michelle will make it out. We will meet you there at the town. What time do you plane on arriving ?
Dan & Mayo will make it out for this one. Count us in!
Hi Eddie,
We plan on leaving the Chevron in Rancho Cucamonga at 9:30 and should arrive at Calico Ghost town around 10:45.
See you there.
P.S. While there are asphalt roads there, the parking lot is dirt, so if you bring the ACR you may want to remove the huge front splitter !
Should be fun. Keith & Rita are in.
I managed to get the day off from work so I'll be there!
What a beautiful day to be out for a drive !
We were transported back about 130 years to a simpler life where things were definitely
rough and tumble. So cool to walk around and see what life was like back then.
