Have never run at Williow before.  So I am in the beginners group on Sat. and Sun.  I am just coming up on Friday to get an early start on all the registration, tech inspections, and any last minute tweaks to the car as a lot of vendors will be there I hear.

I have mainly been a drag racer, but recently have become more interested in road racing.  I am also signed up with Speed Ventures for the Roval at Auto Club Speedway the following weekend.  Two track weekends in a row!  >g  >r

I am not going to run on Friday.  Just going up for tech and tweaks if needs be.  Get a personal look at the track, watch some guys run, and then pee in my pants.  I'll be sure to change trousers before Friday night's dinner.

I just spoke with Courtney today and I am signed up!  I will be there Friday and of course Sat. and Sun.

So much to do and prepare between now and then...just more excuses for me to mod!  <2

Yes that was a great day!  I love events like that where we can learn stuff, talk about mods, racing, and hang out with cool people!

And as others have said...thank you so much to everyone for all the effort that went into pulling this together!  It was much appreciated.  The amount of knowledge I picked up in that one day was amazing.  And it was really great to meet everyone... some for the first time and some it had been too long.

You all convinced me...I spoke with Courtney today and signed up for Viper Days!  <m  I'll be there on Friday and on thru the weekend!

Really curious to find out what my car weighs.  With some new mods coming it'll be interesting to see how much weight I shed.  In the next few weeks will be, CCWs, PS2s, Euroteck rotors, and exhaust crossover delete.

Maybe it will just barely start to balance out all my stereo equipment  >l

Before I go and order a new set of track wheels, I wanted to check around here to see if anybody had any leads on a set.

I'm not built exactly like Homer, but my Popeye forearms attached to arms that drag on the ground when standing gave me no choice.

But just think of all the coconuts you could crack with your bare hands! 

Removing the seats would definitely give more room, but I just found it really hard to get teh seats in and out.  If there is a tip for how to position the chair or angle it in and out I'd love to hear it.

We'll have to see about Viper Days...I have been burning through money like crazy for mods and getting the Vette and Viper ready for other track events.  I also fear the rocks and sand at Willow!  <u

I don't know your "track" experience level (you could be an ex-pro driver)

I guess I would have had to have been a pro driver before I could be an ex-pro driver, huh?  Darn it!  <m

I am only now starting my road racing adventures.  I come from the world of drag strips and go to the 1/8 mile at Irwindale pretty regularly at times, with my Vette.  So I have a learning curve with the road racing.  But like in drag racing I am sure the rules of "Never drive beyond your skill" and "Smooth is fast" still applies

I imagine I will be going through tires like madness while I am learning the finer points...which is why the deal on these are so great!

So roughly 4 track days equaling about 14-16 sessions is not bad for the price!

I am going to try and make as many Auto Club Speedway track events as I can...it is such a nice track and with all the grass there is less worry about rocks and sand flying everywhere.  But as you said one does slide

DONE!  Payment sent via paypal.  I just re-used my 07 VCA number.  This event sounds like it would be a lot of fun and a safe environment to learn some limits.
