SV,

Last year it was the 1,2,3 yellows, then go.

Cathy ran 12.3, I ran 12.2 in our 2006 Coupe (headers, K & N's only on street tires).

Most "stock" or near stock guys ran mid 12's to mid 13's.

We had a couple of 11's, some 10's and some 9's as well.

PS Too bad you can't make Buttonwillow, it's a very fun track to run in a Viper.

Ah good then that means I can get some worthwhile practice in at Irwindale before hand.  John at CCW is making me an extra set of wheels to mount M&H drag radials on 345/35R18...woo-hoo!

I'll also have American Racing headers and Classic Chambered Mufflers on by then.  Will also get a tune at DC.  I already have the Quaife 3.55 and upgraded axle shafts along with KW variant 2 suspension.  Raptor shift light should help too.  We'll see what times I run at Irwindale and then see what happens in Vegas.

As for Buttonwillow, yea wouldn't you know it that my birthday weekend where I had made plans to be out of town is when they choose to have Viper Days...er...NARRA.  Hope you guys have fun and that it stays dry.  Wonder how many non-Vipers will be there?

Air Tram and Palm Springs here I come!

Looking forward to this!  Already registered and booked.  Mailing my WZR form in tomorrow.

I will be heading out there Thursday morning so I can get tech out of the way and get all settled in.

Is the "tree" a pro set up with all 3 lights on at once and then green?  Or is it standard with yellows going 1,2,3 and then green?

What kind of times were the Vipers running last year?

Kaleidoscope Polishing in Gardena

They do polishing of wheels as well as all sorts of metals like intake manifolds and valve covers etc.  The reason I came to them was because of one of my wheels.  Those of you who saw my car at the car control clinic know about the 19" CCWs I have.  Well...there is a reason they tell you to always remove the center cap when tracking the car ;)  In my case, I was hot lapping the drag strip course and doing hard stops each time.  Well things got a little warm in one of the wheels and since the center cap is only pressure fitted on via an O-Ring... the heat caused it to pop off and go bouncing down the parking lot.  Needless to say it got dinged up pretty bad.

I also nicked two areas around the lug nuts with an impact wrench awhile back and only those with OCD would ever noticed.  So of course I did ;)

So I found this shop through a referral and I dropped the center cap and wheel off to them and the next day they were re-polished and looked good as new!

Great shop to work with  <1

My first Viper Days was more fun than a barrel full of spider monkeys!

Looking forward to the next one!  Thanks to Dan and Cathy for also making it a great Club Event.

Sounds almost like a mini-Viper Days.

Name the time and place and I'll be there!

Took me forever to post on here!  Been pretty slammed with work!

But yes, this was an incredible event!  Awesome fun and a great learning experience.  A great deal of THANKS to everyone who made this day possible!  Especially Dan and Cathy...we are very fortunate to have them!

I will be sure to attend any future car control clinics...please have more of these.

Thanks!

My appointment with them is right after Dan's  <1  Something about a head and cam package...j/k  >w

I have been looking at the track map, but also found this video which I thought was helpful to visualize.  I am sure there are plenty, but this one we really clear.  This guy takes one lap around CW starting at 1 and goes on to 2, 3, etc.  Watching the video while following along with the track map I thought was helpful.

30 secs into the video is when the run actually starts (after all the intro crap)

Looks like I need to be at the track by 11am-ish on Friday to meet up with Archer Racing.  I'm in line right after Dan ;)

So that means I need to hit the road by 9am and I'll probably miss rolling up with you guys.  I'll already be at the track when you guys start to head out.

See you at the track!  It'll be good to finally meet you Mike.

Thanks Dan!  Good note on the inboard and out-board bleeders!

I have a 2006 Coupe and I just wanted to confirm the brake bleed order.  Is it the usual:

1. Rear Passenger Right
2. Rear Driver Left
3. Front Passenger Right
4. Front Driver Left

I know on some cars it is actually different than what we are use to...just wanted to confirm that here.

thanks!

I ended up getting a set of CCW's 18x12 and 18x13 C12s from John at CCW.  So by end of next week I can mount then to the Toyo R888s coming in.  And then the CCW T140s and PS2s I can save for the street and everyday cruising.  <2

I just ordered 2 sets of tires from them!  Should be here next Thursday.  Spoke to John and he was really great to deal with!  I highly recommend...just a really good guy all around to do business with.
