I was just up there a couple of weeks ago. The road up to Running Springs (330) is closed. i took the Waterman (18) exit of the (210).
We had lunch at the Belgian Waffle Place right at the Lake front. They have a patio during the summer.
A couple of years ago I was up there for a Porsche Club meet were the lined up all the cars along the Lake Arrowhead boardwalk. They went from the earliest 356 to the 912, 911 all the way to the 911GT3 RS. It was a great display.

when I saw that peolpe drive 275 miles to hang out with the So Cal Viper Club, I thought I should be able to drive the 3 (three) miles from my house to Santa Anita Racetrack.
My oil will not even be up to temperature by the time I get to D&B.

How easy is it to find a place to stay and get decent seats in thee grandstand? I always wanted to go to Montreal for the GP. Went to F1 races Monza, Malaysia and Shanghai China.
I heard the this is one of the best places to go and see the race.

I plan to go for the first time and get a preview of the Oct. 17 Supercar Sunday. My friends always told me about the "last-Sunday-of-the-month" meet, so it's about time to check it out.

ARE THERE TWO DIFFERENT SUPERCAR SUNDAYS? ONE SHOWS OCT. 3. AND THE OTHER OCT. 17.
THE EVENT SCHEDULE ON THE SUPERCAR SUNDAY WEBSITE DID SHOW NEITHER ONE OF THESE DATES!

You guys are tough on the Bike riders!

I just came back from a ride around the Grand Canyon on my BMW R1200GS. This bike is perfect for long distance and even the occasional dirt (fire) road.
Did 1400 miles in 4 days. Parker, Sedona, Flagstaff, Paige, Zion, Vegas, Death Valley and back to LA.


As for Big Bear, I know all the fire roads in and out, but this Saturday I will follow you guys on the pavement.   

I am a new member! This will be my first outing. I look forward to meet all of you.
I met Joel and Madona at the Rock Store a couple of weeks back. Saw the "Fang" sticker on the back of their helmets.
I will see you at the Home Depot!
