VIPER CLUB FAMILY PICNIC - This year our summer picnic will be held at Laguna Niguel Regional Park. This is a great venue with ample parking that should work well for our members and their families. We have reserved a large shaded structure against the hillside adjacent to a large grassy field and sand volleyball court.
Tulsa Rib Company will cater this event - they have great food. There will be face painting, and a moon bounce for the kids - or the adults if they feel like indulging, there is sand volleyball, we will have a tug-o-war (verts vs coupes?), water balloon toss and raffle some goodies. Bring your footballs and Frisbees. DC Performance will be bringing some special cars too!
This is an event for family - bring your kids, grand kids, parents or grandparents - maybe even a sibling or two!

The Large Group Shelter or LGS. Enter the park; turn right, Shelter on right.
Time: 10:30 AM - (Parking can become an issue if we don't begin early)
Lunch: Served by noon
Cost: $5 Park Vehicle Entry Fee - paid upon entry
$20 per Person - $10 for Children 4 to 10 - Free for Children 3 and under - paid in advance

A couple of questions about parking... We have 2.5 hours of driving to get there.... In order to park together, do we need to be there right at 10:30, or can spaces be held for us Northerners, arriving a little later ;D

Hi Kala,
In my opinion, there is plenty of parking near our picnic "spot". I'm not concerned. Cathy sometimes worries too much about the details, IMHO and this is one of those times.
I would try to get there as soon as you can because the park will not allow us to hold parking spots, though we will try anyway. Also, we have no idea how full this park could get.
FYI, there is a giant speed bump at the entrance that looks a bit intimidating in a Viper. I have gone over it successfully multiple times with two lowered Vipers without any issues. My advice is to stay centered on the speed bump. Don't try and take it one wheel on, one wheel off. While I have not done this, it looks like it could cause a very low Viper to rub.
We have lots of goodies for the picnic and several of our vendors are planning to attend. It should be fun.
