Probably already been thrown out there, but they ought to have a certification process for independent, Viper specialists who have been committed to our passion, to be approved as service providers.

SV, several really good points.

It sure would be cool if DC could do warranty work (with a premium opted by the customer).  I'd believe many owners who DC has as clients would pay for the choice (HMO/PPO), expertise and assurance, and compensate DC Performance for their time.  Maybe Mr. Gilles can look into that.  Recall 998 and 999 come to mind!

LB, HB, OC.  Having a long commute is a total drag though, driving time limits work.  Or sleep  <1

Just put in an order.  Also picked up a Stryker t-shirt, apparently it was the last one  >o

Agreed.

I still need to do the 998 recall, rear diff portion only (dumb dealership).

Yo Big Guy, you gotta go so you can report back on how the head room is in the new snake.

An offer to consider: spend $3k (within 3 months) on Hoosiers, or on mods at DC Performance, or on biscuits and gravy, get a free roundtrip flight (at least) to NYC.  One of the better cards out there at the moment.

Lance, if the stars align for me, I'm planning on the SNA to EWR direct flight, then public transit into the city.  May vary depending where I end up staying though.

*If anyone is thinking of taking advantage of this promo or unsure if it makes sense, you can PM me for details, questions/considerations you might have.

Yeah,

Think I'll just wait to see the car in LA.

I have commenced with a self-inflicted blackout of looking for anything 2013 Viper related.  For now, I'll dream of being in NYC, April 4th with fellow enthusiasts.  Else I'll read about it after it's official, like I did in high school.  Airfare, accommodation and adult beverage funds are set aside.  Check.  And I have to say, major props to everyone who has seen the car, yet have maintained the mystery.

It will come down to leaving the wife and baby behind for a few days, which I'm already feeling really bad about.  I suppose I could tell her Ralph and the VCA are going to be welcoming a new infant.

As far as the 2012 NY Auto Show goes, April 6th is the first day, is that right?

Oops!  Probably due to the Prius driver passing on the right.  That or lack of attending a CCC.

Viper Help! / Re: Filling up at the Gas Station
March 18, 2011, 06:46:12 PM
BAH: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/gastips.asp

You're better off feeding your snake pit with a cashback credit card than spending your time implementing all those tips.  Get a Chase Freedom card and enroll in their quarterly rewards program and enjoy 5% cash back on gasoline between July 1st - Sept 30th.  https://www.chase.com/online/freedom/rewards-calendar.htm  It can be a pain in the neck to remember which categories are on promotion in which quarter however, and you'll need to re-enroll every 3 months.

For all the other months, I fill up with an Amex SimplyCash Business or Amex Costco card for 3% cashback on gas.  Beats what my savings account has done for me lately...

Yeah, you could name the book Shades of SoCal (Viper).  Best coffee photobook evaar.  Jealousy ensues from the rest of the chapters across America... >l

Sounds like we might need to add some months to the year or do a book, since we have plenty of cars. >u

I have been strengthening my core and lower back for the past couple of months in preparation for daddy duty.

Max squat is now at 2.2x body weight, so I feel like I'm almost ready for a ride in da Beast.  Daddy duty, not so much...

I know John Hennessy but doubt he'd let most of us drive that car.

I can, however, arrange a ride in my black Viper (no, I don't let others drive it), which makes about the same HP and TQ.

They have one of these:

Oprah called SLO the happiest place in America, I guess the PD would agree!
