I'm in...reservations have been made!  You have to stress that you're with the "So Cal Viper Club" otherwise they will try to give you a less favorable rate.

Extra special thanks to Lance, Dan and Cathy for making this possible  <1.  This is going to be a blast.

Good comment Art.

Yes, Cathy "ground on them" a bit for a better rate for you all.

Glad you can make this, should be fun.

I am in for this one, have been to the 101 viewing stop for Hearst Castle but never to the actualy site.  So I guess there are no Sheri's or Cottontail Ranches for the NV guys to have a Sunday BBQ at the start of this cruise, eh?   <1

Hey Eric, remember Dave is from New Jersey - maybe if we beg!

The hotel is filling up fast and room rates are about to go up.  Hope eveyone that wants to go gets their reservations soon.

I am definately in for this one seeing how I live 30 minutes from Pismo. I would like to know if there is going to be any stops along the route up so I can join you. I might even head south to meet up. Just a side note Solvang is just off the 101 and might be a nice stop to take a break at.

Oh tell Big Brake Dave that I am bringing "The Cupholder" that night. I will make sure she wears something appropriate.  ^8

Yo Thom,

Solvang is the plan for the lunch stop on the way up.  The time-line has not been put in place, but will be posted as soon as it is.

We're expecting a LOT of cars - should be a blast... <9

Is it too early to start planning meeting points for the caravan?

I would like to suggest Village Coffee Roaster off the 101 (Valley Circle Blvd) for the LA, San Fernando and possibly Simi Valley folks?  ^5

Solvang will be fun, but we have to be careful not to scare the 1-horsepower carts there with the 500+ horses in our cars. >3

Wow... if I counted correctly... 73 members signed up at this point...
If this keep growing, we'll need a panoramic group shot  <9

I'm in for meeting up at La Conchita... or the 150 and 101, whatever works...

Hey Art, Kala, and all,

It's never too early to plan - it's whether or not you've got the time...

Make plans to meet anyone driving your way, but eventually, we'll all meet in the Thousand Oaks area for our cruise north.  We will be stopping in Solvang for lunch.

I haven't worked out the timing yet, but the plan would be to arrive at the hotel in Shell Beach by 3:30-4PM.  FYI: The NV members are driving up on Friday - from Vegas all the way to Shell Beach - so we won't be hooking up with them on Saturday.

I encourage you guys to setup meet points - it always makes for a more exciting ride - and as soon as I have the location in Thousand Oaks, I'll let you know what time.   <2

By the way - YES, we are expecting at least 100+ attendees  >2

Hey I just got back from Texas and it was nice. 7 days of fishing and drinking beer. What more could you ask for? And I got my Viper fix because dad was generous enough to let me take his out for a bit. It convinced me to go ahead and get the Corsa installed while it is at DC. Hopefully I will have it back for the run. Solvang is 15 minutes away so I will meet you all there for lunch. Looking forward to seeing everyone again... as always.

Hey Thom,

It looked to me like you should have your car back in time.  Apparently a couple of valve seats failed.  Likely due to overheating in a previous like.

Good luck,

Dan

PS  You'll like the Corsa Track

Yeah when I started dad's up and it shook the house, I knew it was for me. I always wanted to wake my neighbors up when I leave in the mornings. Well happy to hear it should be back. This has been one really tough experience. Its almost like I have lost a member of the family.

I can honestly say that I know how you feel .....

One of the reasons I bought a second (and then third) Viper was so that I would never be Viper-less.  My 04 SRT-10 spent 6 months in a local shop having work done that should have taken 6 weeks, max.  This created withdrawls.   <7

Hang in there,

Dan ^2

Well if you find yourself with too many Vipers, let me know. I will make sure to keep it from rusting up on you. The Air Force doesnt really pay enough for A Viper much less two. I am working on resolving that now though. Brent Kern and myself are going into the ClearMask business. Maybe one of these days I will be able to buy the new Snakeskin Green Viper... >2

I just got back from picking up my car at DC Performance and I am very happy with it. They did an outstanding job taking care of me and even helping me out with a few other little issues I had.  The car runs great and sounds fantastic with the new Corsa installed. I couldnt be happier... and the wait was well worth it.

I am really looking forward to this run. I will be out detailing the car all day tomorrow so that she looks nice and clean. If anyone needs a little help getting the ash off of theirs, let me know. See you all on Saturday.

Hey Thom.  Good to hear you got your baby back!  I was just at DC performance yesterday for an oil change and tech. inspection, and saw your paperwork.  New cylinder heads, valve job, lifters, etc..  A lot of work done.  I also enjoy waking up the neighbors in the morning! ;D

Guess no one has an  internet connection so we can see how the Hearst Castle Crusie is going.  Eagle Band Concert last PM at the NOKIA Center ROCKED!!!  Sorry I missed the Paso Robles events, but the Eagles made up for any loss!

This event was a complete flop!!

Whoever came up with the idea should be thrown out of the club.

I mean come on....61 Vipers from CA, NV and AZ staying at the beautiful Cliffs Resort, beautiful clears skies (on Sunday), Hearst Castle.......Blah Blah Blah Blah blah......................

I took over 300 pictures to prove my point.
I'll get them posted after I've had time to wipe the stupid smile off my face!

OGO,

I had one of those upside down smiles on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

It just stopped raining "ashes" on us Saturday morning before we left.  News is saying that our fire is still only 65% contained and the Santa Ana's are coming back this weekend.

We'll be at Willow Springs.
