As always, it was really fun hanging out with everyone.  I ran the GoPro for most of my runs... the first was a bit humiliating, but most fun to watch.

This organization puts in a really great event.  The weather is always nice, the people are great, and they have it very well organized. The food is good too!

Notice in the video, there aren't a ton of cones, so you are less likely to scuff up your paint.

I'm going to have to cancel my trip out there.  I know it's going to be an amazing event with perfect weather and an awesome track.  Have fun!


There is some good news on my car.  They've decided to have Arrow rebuild the engine.  It will be a while before I see my car again, but at least the engine will be done right.

The Tesla could be justified.  The ACR would be hard to justify.  But all the glowing reviews for the new ACR from people, whos job is to hate on Vipers, really has me intrigued! 


I must resist spending so much beyond my means for a toy... albeit an AWESOME toy.


Does anyone rent Vipers?  It looks like that's what I'll need to do for the quickly approaching Viper Tracks.

The parts did show up, but that didn't solve the problem.  The chance of me being at Viper Tracks with my Viper is slight

Finally what might be some good news.  The dealer just called and said they have all the parts.  Yesterday none existed, today they have them.  I might have my car as soon as this weekend.


I've been told a similar story a few times already, but this time they aren't "in transit" they actually have them in hand.  It might be true this time.

I have the car at Motor Village.  They said it was a bad lifter.  They need to install all new lifters, but they can't find a complete set.  They are on back order with no estimate on when parts will be available again.  Finally SRT searched the entire country's dealer inventory for parts.  They thought they had enough, but apparently the dealer who's working on my car didn't request the right amount.  That was Friday that they learned this.  According to SRT there are no more parts.


There is another part number that was recommended (by a friend of ours who knows vipers), but Dodge insists that it's not compatible.  The alternate part is actually made better and doesn't fail.  The reason the stock part number is on back order is because they haven't solved the problem that causes them to fail.


It's covered under warranty, so that's why I can't just have Dan fix it.


Last night I suggested that they do what they used to do and just send the engine to Arrow to be rebuilt.  I'm still waiting on an answer.


There are track days all the time.  But THIS track day is special.  I really want to be there with my car.

It's been 10 weeks, and my Viper is still in the shop.  If I rent a Corvette, could I bring that?

We'll have to skip the run and just meet the house.
