Maybe this is a sign of what my next car will be? I think I'm on the wrong forum! Shhhhh!
Just kidding!  :)

Guess Lance thought I would be there at the party :o  8) ;D

Wow what a great event! Awesome Viper events like they used to be, I hope we have many more.

Pictures can't do the Carbon Edition justice. I wasn't sure how I'd like the matte finish, but after seeing it in person I was in awe of the details that it showed on the car.

Being able to take photos up close of the awesome GT3-R in such a perfect setting... OMG what a car.  8) 8) 8)

Being back with old friends at a great event inspired me to join SoCal Viper again  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks to every one who made this event possible. Dennis Linn, Mike Bell and Motor Village held an impecable event. I sent a PM to someone I know looking for a red, black and red ACR that was in the Viper pit!

Lance you did a great job with the weather... Maybe its time ABC7 brings you on board... You might have found a new calling...  ;) ;) ;)

This car is ready to race, just get it start it up and you are racing at light speed!

Laguna Seca 1:34.1
WSIR 1:24.1
ButtonWilow 1:55.7
Chuckwalla 1:48
AutoClub Speedway 1:44.1

This is the car that set the track lap record at Buttonwillow? Awesome!

Also that 1:24.1 that is a new lap record for WSIR  :) I have the lap record listed at 1:26 and I thought that was smokin  8)

I'm sure someone will buy this car in a heartbeat. GLWTS!

Guy you might want to take off your Lic plates when out on the track. There is a thread on the Nat'l board that insurance companies are canceling policies from youtube track videos. If Geico is doing it, probably won't be long before the rest start looking for proof as well.

This memo was just released from a VCA BOD member in FL

By LadyCruzer

VCA Member
Central North Florida
Regional President
SE Director at Large

"We have been reading what you wrote and we are listening to you! The Board, in furtherance of moving ahead to a more inclusive, tolerant, fun club, that provides a clear pathway for new leadership, has decided to take immediate action to revise the Bylaws to provide, among other things, for: an election process that allows all members to vote for all National Officers; a nomination process that allows any member with one or more years of experience as a Regional Officer or above, with the endorsement of ten VCA members on a simple nomination form, to run for any National Office; setting limitations on what a candidate can do to run for office so that people with more money to spend do not have an unfair advantage; implementing an absolute term limit that prevents a member from rotating around the National Officer or other Board positions; and creating a procedure for the review of VPA activities and the voting of the VCA's 100% stock interest in VPA. We anticipate that this will be accomplished within 30 days. "

Krafters, I live on Maricopa HWY in Ojai... cell coverage is spotty at best once you go past La Luna. You can get a signal at Bodee's restaurant. (now closed) After that there's only one place I know where you can get cell coverage about 1/2 way to the 166.

It's a large turn-out on the right hand side of the road with a big mound on it... The locals up there call it the Phone Booth  ;D

It's harder to see coming from the South. If you get stuck up there, ask how far you are from the Phone Booth... You'll also know it by seeing vehicles parked there... Generally someone walking around talking on their phone... LOL

Before you get to the 166, there is a Ranger station... Ozema I think... They have phones.

Pick a starting point like La Luna rd or even the stop sign at 5 points and clear your trip odometer. That way if you do have problems you can give AAA a location where you are.

Right now, I don't know that anyone's crystal ball can tell what the future will bring. SoCal Viper will always be the great club it has been with or with a Nat'l presence. That much won't change.

Making a choice for which Nat'l club SoCal Viper moves forward with, may have already been decided by the other 36 regions that are currently saying they are going to bail from the VCA.

The VCA can't stand on 4 regions alone.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by being "that member."
Krafters, I was trying to make Lance laugh... It usually makes him laugh when I say things like that...

I firmly believe had Nat'l been open to answering questions along with transparency, for the last several years, we wouldn't be at this cross road right now.

Moving forward we all have a lot of questions to ask.
