Hey Jonathan,
Thanks for the tip.
Installed the Autoform "Lemans Style" wing and cannards on my GTS last weekend. I posted two photos below. This is one big wing, though it doesn't look so big in the photos.
Also installed new springs, 800 front / 1100 rear.
Planning to install the splitter next weekend on Sunday after our Saturday Viper Club picnic.
Would like to do some test and tune work on it before Viper Days.
May be able to make this Sunday track day, not sure on the work scene right now.

Sorry for the short notice, but we just got the date. We are hosting an open track event on Sunday August 10 at the Big Track at Willow Springs. We need more high powered vehicles and since we are bringing our SRT10 Ram, we could use the competition. I first labeled it cancelled as I read that the Sunday event was was cancelled by the sponsor of the original event, NASA I think. When I posted the revision, only a day later, I thought I deleted the "cancelled" part in the header. Guess I didn't get that done or screwed up somehow. Just trying to be accurate. I would not want any of our club members showing up there when there was no event.
In any case, I will announce this event Saturday August 2 at our annual picnic and send an email blast to the club today letting them know about it

They'll have beginner, intermediate and advanced groups available. They like to use a "point by" for passing.
I signed up in the advanced group so that I can try to chase Jonathan around. Most of you guys that came out last time should likely be in intermediate with our total newbies in beginner.

Yes, if we get enough guys to show up. I spoke with Phil mentioned that we might be able to get 10 or 15 guys to show up. He told met that if we did, we'd get free transponders.

At my last count there are 12 or 13 Vipers >3
If Ron takes his Schwinn out of storage slaps a Sneaky Pete on the frame people will be one step closer to free timing. Looks like Phil should be cutting me a small commission!

I think Phil was more interested in getting a few more cars out (paying customers) and didn't care much about what type of cars we got.
If we get more than 10 in our group, regardless of the type of car, we'll lobby him for the free transponders.
Jonathan can try and get some commission out of him too ..... good luck!

Hey Guys,
Turned out to be a good track day although the afternoon was a bit warm and one of our guys went four wheeling. Old, hard run flat tires strike again.
Made a bunch of changes to my GTS, installed new stiffer springs, added a wing and splitter, and changed to different tires.
Probably would have been better to make one change at a time, go to the track and test it, see how it effects the way the car handles, etc., but I'm not getting any younger!
I actually ran about 4 seconds slower during the first 2 or 3 sessions than I did the last time I was at the track. By about the fourth session, I was getting comfortable with the new set up and started making my way back up to speed. Looking forward to Viper Days in September.
One thing is for certain, you can really feel the additional "downforce" at speed.
Hope we can do this again when it's cooler.
