Hey Steph and Glenn,
Put me down for this event, thanks for organizing and opening your home to us.
Love the new Viper too, it looks menacing! ^5
Now that they have TWO Vipers, maybe we can talk them into going to Viper Days?
The 08 does really well on the track by the way - just make sure the alignment is good.
Dan
Viper Days sounds great !!! That is why we just can't get enough of those Ojai roads to practice on. You know how it is. No traffic, winding roads , sharp turns, long straights, and fresh air yeah I know what you mean!
>b Thanks Glenn and Steph for organizing the event. Hope we don't scare off your neighbors. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Jon
Please put Ruth and Nino on the list. Nice maps. <I

We're really looking forward to this event and appreciate everyone coming! We plan to open our garage doors at 9:00, so anybody who wants to come directly to the house, please do! We'll have coffee and chews! For those of you coming up from southern regions, there are gas stations at almost every off-ramp once you come over the Calabasas Grade (just in case the one posted is too full of Vipers!) All we ask is that you arrive at our house with a full tank of gas!
If you plan to attend, PLEASE LET US KNOW!!! I am keeping a car and head-count for lunch reservations and parking.
Thanks!
Steph
Please add to the list
Our guests Dean and Chris Pellegrino. Owners of California Tire and Trualign alignment systems. Dean has been in the suspension/ alignment/tire business for over 30 years. A world of information. www.trualign.com

It's a Beautiful Thing
Hey Everyone,
This sounds great and is in my neck of the woods, but I will not likely make it.
My son has a 3 day waterpolo tournament that weekend in Santa Barbara, starting Friday, their game times Saturday depend on how they do on Friday. If they were to end up with afternoon games, then I would come and go straight to SB afterwards, but I will not know until Friday night.
Have a great time, maybe I will be a surprise visit Saturday morning, not likely though.
Ray McIntyre
I am on the list and will bring my wife Michelle Reinsma sound like it will be a great day, looking forward to meeting all of you. Eddie
Welcome to the boards Eddie !
I look forward to meeting you and your wife on the 31st.
Lance
Hey Lance,
Got my black car back this week.
Took it out for a run last night.
Holy Sh_t, this thing is fast. <2
It's been way too long since I drove it last.
Looking forward to Ojai.
Hope the weather cooperates.
Dan ^2
So does this mean you two are bringing the Black Beast? >s Also please add Dan and Teresa Cragin to the list
Glenn..
Well if Dan leads the way I am going to be in trouble. I know how heavy footed he is... HappyBounce
I will be running a little "lighter" than I had planned. My girlfriend will not be closing her business that day to come along so I will be riding solo. Maybe I will be able to keep up then... <o
Thom
Hey Dan,
Glad to hear that the Black Beast is back !
Have fun out at Willow.
See ya next week.
Hey Glenn,
Yes, if the weather is relatively cool, we'll bring the black beast. If not, the pretty white car will get the nod.
Glad to see Dan Cragin making this one.
We're heading for Willow Springs in a few minutes to run with NASA.
I'll have two Mike B's joining us (Mike Buckingham and Mike Burgoyne).
Look forward to next week.
Dan
PS Heavy foot???? Me????? <2 Actually I have to run drag radials to get this thing to hook up, so it's not so nimble around corners.....very good in the straights though.
Lookin' forward to it! I haven't been up to Ojai this year yet. I love this run! Hwy 33 is awesome! >g
Maybe a new (http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm287/AtomicGT/snake.gif) viper by this coming Saturday???
Hey Everyone.
Just to let you know Armen is going to be the point Man on this run. The two of us are going for a Pre Run on Sunday evening and blow off the roads for the pack on the 31st. >c
Glenn
Hello,
My GTS blue '08 hasn't been out w. other Vipers yet, so this would be a good time to socialize it. Please reserve a spot in your lineup for me (Sean) and my wife (Theresa). Thank you!
Yes ... .. . Joel is back from Europe <L "NOW" If Ole has my Viper ready tuesday, Count Me In Please!
Sounds like a Very Nice run, AND if the good Doctor has his new TOY, I will just hang in the back of the
pack with him, JUST while he breaks it in ... .. . joel <o
Welcome Home Joel !!
Can't wait to hear about your "Camping trip" HappyBounce
Wow,
This run is really growing.
One tip for Armen if he plans to lead, let's try our best to keep the group together, i.e. plan to stop at various "wide spots in the road" if necessary.
We'll plan a driver's meeting before we head out.
Dan <2
Good to see you coming out Sean. It will be good to see you break out the beast for this run. >g
Hi Cathy, Melissa & I are going to make the run next week with Glenn & Steph. Melissa already e-mailed Steph,to let her know. Are you guys meeting at the Starbucks? if so, what time. Looking forword to seeing everybody again...
Gary
<B I spoke to soon, My Viper "WILL NOT" be ready until next week >o I'm S O L on this one, perhaps someone
has an empty passenger seat, AND my motorcycle <o Isn't finished either, ... .. . what's a guy to do ?
Very Unhappy... .. . joel, The Rocker Without a Walker!
OriginalRoot has his viper in the shop all the time!@!! I think he is worried about driving with the club these days. This Blue Viper should be the hottest one around if one could ever get it out of the shop!!!
WOW! Thats Harsh,... .. . The Parts are taking forever, Did the new one come in ? ? ? joel
Arrived today at the dealer, I pick it up at 5 PM tomorrow night. Wanna meet me there?
Hey Joel,
You should be able to get a ride with someone because >t .
Dan
I may have to take EJ's old one ... .. . O
Hey Doc! Yes I would OR I'll take you to the dealer if you want, 310-629-9011 I'm not working till Monday
I start back on heroes, we are finishing the last 8 shows of the 2nd season, then we go right into season 3
Go see " IRON MAN " I got screen credit <L joel.
www.joel-larson.com
Please add Dick Bugatti and a guest.
Very fast Gen 2!
Thanks Glenn
Carl Sheffer will be bringing a guest and not his wife Bev >o
Hey Dan.
The only wide spot on the run is Santa Paula. Once you turn right on Balcom Canyon it's Woo Hoo! Santa Paula might be the place to re-group .
Glenn.......
Please add Irfan to the list.
Thanks,
Lance
Joel you are welcome to ride with me in my Jeep SRT-8... it will be a little more plush and we wont be able to keep up with Dan in the straights <2 ... but your more than welcome. Just let me know.
Thom
Mike and Cheryl Sinkinson will be making the trip and we look forward to seeing everyone.
Hey Mike,
Look forward to seeing you and Cheryl again.
Funniest thing happened today, Viper in the garage was yellow with a black stripe and tonight, somehow it turned an unusual shade of green. Can't figure it out. <B
WOW!!! What a great color combo. First one I have seen in that color... and love the matching interior. Cant wait to see it this weekend. >q
Congratulations - Looks Great. Did they lock the porter in the bathroom before you showed up? >j >j
Glenn & Steph.
It shed its skin Doc! Looks awesome, can't wait to see it on Saturday. >s
CONGRATULATIONS Hemotox !!
I look forward to seeing it Sat.
Lance
Glenn and Steph,
I showed the dealer and salesmen at Valley Dodge in Van Nuys your thread on the a scenario of having a porter fill the tank with gas. They were shocked!!! I am not comfortable in the car yet, as I have about 20 miles on it and the shift throw is much shorter than the 2001 GTS, and the throttle is different, at least it seems different.
Arturo del Toro, I will be there on Saturday AM, not sure I can make the whole run. Need to get the orange and green pumpkins together for a photo.
>v
EJ,
It will likely take some time to get accustomed to the operation of the electronic throttle bodies (drive by wire) in the 2008.
The trans is much smoother.
The clutch / flywheel is lighter.
The tires are taller too and low end torque isn't quite as immediate as it was in the GTS.
When the cam begins to vary at about 3500 - 4000 rpm, the power curve comes on pretty strong. Be sure that you're pointed straight before you go to full throttle. This too will feel different from your GTS.
I think you'll like it when you get some seat time in the car.
Dan <2
Our 08 felt very hard and did not want to cooperate at all for the first 100 miles. After it realized that it was being controlled by a human it calmed down. Now it purrs like a kitten.
Glenn
What a small world!
Talked to the owner of Bodee's Restaurant this morning, she was contacted by an Advertising Agency to see if they could book the place on Saturday to shoot a Dodge Commercial. She said sorry it was already booked, but they might want to come by and see some So Cal Vipers. We never know!
Glenn
Hey Glenn,
Great job coordinating this event >s and Stephanie >t It looks as though it will rival the Duke's Poker Run with 35+ Vipers signed up!
Doc, The photo shoot will happen on Saturday. >v
Plan on driving up from Redondo and meeting up w/West LA
I'll be 5 minutes ahead of the OC crew.
Law
Just a Head's Up Recommendation
PCH from Sunset Blvd to Las Flores has been scraped for repaving. So I would aviod this section. That includes Topanda Canyon and access to Kanan Dume Roads to the 101 and THousand Oaks. Stay on the 405 to the 101 West, avoid PCH north of Santa Monica.

Should it not be "hissing like a snake"???
Eric - You ARE the man! I love it! OGO ---- eat your heart out!!! (only kidding).
Thanks Stephanie and Glenn !
What a great turnout for the the LA/Ventura area event ! 35 Vipers flooded their street for pastries and coffee.
I'm sorry I missed the drive...but hope you all had a great run ! See everyone in Big Bear in 2 weeks.

Glenn and Stephanie, Thank you for your hospitality the day was fun. It was great to meet many club members. We took route 33 into Pine Mountain, we passed three cars and had the road to ourselves it was awsome >v.
Eddie & Michelle
I think PCH VIPER sped home to beat me on the web with images. He is the official photographer!
Here are a few images from today. NIce to see such enthusiasm, haven't seen it quite like this for a long time. Great Presidency Dan and Cathy!! Great Day Glenn and Stephanie, nice viper twins! >t
Few more chots
I've got to say that Glenn & Steph made every effort to make this a great event and it showed. We did a pre-run with them last weekend and they went over every last detail with the owners of Bodees. Thanks again for such a well organized event. Looking forward to next year.
Armen <2
We have to wait till next year to get free pastries and coffee at Steph and Glenn's house ?? >q
I thought breakfast at their place was going to be a Monthly thing >v
Many thanks to you Glenn and Stephanie for putting this together. I didn't know if I could make it until I got back home late this morning and drove to the restaurant in Ojai last minute. I figured there would be a dozen or so Vipers in the parking lot. What an amazing sight to see 40+ Vipers stuffed into every corner and onto the street.
David
PS: Nice job on the weather.
Thanks very much Glenn & Steph we had a great time. ^2 It was nice to see some old friends again. We hope you invite us back soon.. PS Glen what happened to my bear claw... <K ^8

Great weather.
Nice job Steph and Glenn. >v
So, when can we do this again? Fall?
Let us know.
Dan <2
PS Also nice, my black car made the entire 250 mile round trip without a hint of an issue. Guess it's ready for Vegas!
Did someone say VEGAS !!!

Lori
This was an awesome day, and Theresa's first car outing - she loved it. Thank you very much Steph and Glenn for organizing this. All of the coordination, including those beautiful color detailed maps, was fantastic! Thank you!

It is really cool to "see" what I missed.
Kala is putting me to shame with her Professional slide shows !!
See you guys soon.
Lance
We missed you Lance >u >s
Kathy, thanks for putting names to so many faces. Awesome!
Anyone have a cure for viper runs on congested freeways with rocks? Was able to miss any paint chips, how I don't know, that is even staying behind the main viper caravan on the 101.
Some excellent images from the above members. Restaurant shots are great!
A ClearMask kit will help out with that... let me know if you would like some information.

I wish I had clear bra'd mine immediately... I have chips everywhere
There is a thread on the National forum about SSG and chips.
