First Run of the year !!!
I'll be there for sures !
Cheryl and I will be there if I ever get my car back. >o DC Performance has been trying to get my traction control working since before turkey day. Race Logic keeps driving him nuts with reqeusts for data logging.
Here we go again, another year of conflicting dates, will be in Honolulu giving a course to the Hawaiian Residents and nurses. Never fails, I miss every run.

How are you gonna take over as the new Club President if you keep missing all the events =5
I can't, need a Club President with a Mahi'ole!
I am in Honolulu for the Julian Run, Switzerland for the Polar Bear Run. Exactly every time there is a Viper event, I am ......! Maybe I need to put my year travel plans up so the club social events can be coordinated for a 100% match-up.

Hey Doc,
When you take over the club, you can set up events
around your work calendar and you'll never have to miss an event again!!!
I'll be at this event since it's in my backyard.

Funny, Viper X, you don't want me to do that, then there would be no social events!!! I have a better chance of hooking up with the Swiss Viper Club this year than to So Cal Viper Club!
I sense a ground swell movement to draft the Flyin' Hawai'ian Drifter for the Elevated Position!(http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm287/AtomicGT/viperxmas20094.jpg)(http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm287/AtomicGT/lanceroyaltypicnic.jpg)
Then, the possibility of shipping the club vipers to Honolulu for a "Run Round the Island" and coctails at Buzz's Lanikai, would be an excellent answer for the Pacific Polar Bear Run!

I am suffering plenty, sitting on the Beach at the Halekulani with the Hula girls!!! I don't think they are topless, though???
I should take one of the PCH VIPER's Ukeleles and see if I can fit into the band. I need a white linen or cotton band outfit.

You would look good on the Polar Bear Run in this, although I don't think it would make it up the mtn, down is no problem.
>l
Hey Doc, I would help Lance push it up the mountain.
Arturo del Toro,
I think a trailer hitch on the back of your viper and a front end hitch on the Yugo and take FHP for a ride!
I'm looking forward to it!
I'll be attending >g See you then!
Steph
Teresa and I will be there.
Going to bring something different this time...A Viper! <L >j >j <L

Lance I'm thinking of heading down to this event. It's a long haul for me, Can we meet up near you some were and caravan down?

Hey HEMO, I'm in the same boat, 'cept I just dont get weekends off anymore. I transferred to Oceanside, and the senior guys at work take all the weekends. Its great if youre not concerned about a social life or ever seeing your family.

Hey Hirko,
I'm sure the OC guys will be at the Starbucks in Irvine off Shady Canyon.
You can also hook up with Steph and my Cuz Mike (hopefully he can make it) and cruise down together.
See you in Irvine !
L
We'll be at Starbucks, weather permitting - hope for Sunshine....
Dan
Cheryl and I won't be making this one, my car has been at DC since the beginning of Thanksgiving week. ^11
Mike
=15 Only torrential rains will keep us from this run! Paul & Pam
Hey Mike,
At the risk of getting into trouble, what's going on with your car????
Dan
Hi Dan,
The Racelogic unit I purchased from Woodhouse and had Dan install has not worked since day one. Dan has been great at dealing with Woodhouse and Racelogic and he has spent an ungodly amount of time working on the unit in trying to resolve the issue. Dan has sent logs and video showing the system failing. Mark at Woodhouse was happy he made the sale and now appears to be hoping I go away. I wrote to him once and he told me to direct all my questions to Dan. I suggested several times that they pull the entire unit out and replace it. That is something they keep pushing back on. Needless to say they don't think its a problem if I'm without a car for months on end. Since Woodhouse is the only Racelogic distributor in the US, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I really think Woodhouse should take a stand and make Racelogic step up and do the right thing. I also think they should make Racelogic compensate Dan for the time he spent trying to fix this unit because he has lost a lot of money on this deal. All Woodhouse did was pass the buck to Dan. My next step is to contact Bob Woodhouse to see if he can do anything. Right now I would not recommend Woodhouse for floor mats! If I appear pissed it's because I am.
Mike
Hey guys, I did the Mt. Palomar run today with about 8 Southern California Mini Maniac enthusiasts. These guys take corners like you wouldn't believe! Anyway, here is the scoop. Run was awesome, not much traffic. There is snow, although not much, but tends to melt and run across the road at multiple spots during the day. No ice, tons of dust and rocks from the recent rains. My mini is covered in dust and being a black paint job, looks like I have been through a storm. Back side of Palomar is in great shape. A few run off areas of water but nothing big. Would suggest a photo op at the Lake Henshaw Vista. Great place. We took the Mesa Grande Indian Reservation run also, which is slightly east of the junction of the Pala Road 76, and the back side of Mt Palomar. In general the roads are in great shape, quite dusty from the recent storms, but that is just a car wash when you get home. If you follow real close on MT. Palomar, you may find yourself getting a few rocks thrown at you from the car ahead. Hope you all have as much fun as I did today. Went to Julian, the town was packed, have never seen so many tourists. Did, however, buy 4 pies!
Would recommend that you not detail your car too much for the start of the Polar Bear Run. It will need one after you get home, unless you enjoy detailng! Suppose to rain Wednesday and Thursday, but I think this is more in the LA area. If it rains at Mt Palomar, that means most likely snow on top. Wonder how vipers are on snow and ice???? =27
I can't make the run this Saturday, will be in Honolulu at a meeting. Hope you have a great time. 400 miles today!
O> I just work TOO MUCH ! >o
Hi gang,
Melissa & I are looking forward to this run, the Vinamus one hasn't been out yet this year!!!
Even though it won't be quit the same without the OGO.
See ya at Starbucks.
Hey gang,
There is rain in the forecast, is this event on rain or shine?

Hey Carlos,
We'll be staying home if it rains and recommend the same to others.
Mountain roads, rain and Vipers don't mix too well.
Let's hope for sunshine!
Dan
Hey Mike,
Bob Woodhouse does not own this dealership anymore.
I'd suggest you contact Bill Pemberton, Viper sales, at Woodhouse Dodge and see if you can get some help from him.
If neither he nor Mark can or will help, I'd post your experience on the VCA board - that will likely get their attention.
I investigated the Racelogic Traction Control unit some time ago and decided to pass as others were having problems with the unit as you are.
For now, I'd have Dan remove the unit (or disable it) and enjoy your car.
I've got over 30k miles on my black car with over 900 rwhp and don't need traction control, just common sense and a Quaife differential.
Good luck,
Dan
Rain here means Snow in Julian.

Once we see what the weatherman has to say toward the end of the week, we'll email the group if the event is postponed...
Sat 10:00 AM, Jan 30, 2010. Mt Palomar Top. No snow on the roads, wet run-off, great weather but wet in spots and dust.
An excellent time!
Last year there were very small patches of snow on the ground.
Vipers can't double park like the mini's
(http://www.kouchicentral.com/images/09-1%20polar%20bear%20run/DSC_7986.JPG)
Your SSG must be getting lonely...this was probably the last time it was out.

Looks like its going to rain/snow in the mountains.
I think event should be rescheduled.
Hi All,
Ruth and Nino will be there in the '03. It's the only one I have left (maybe).
Nino
Does anyone know if chains are available for a 345?
Patsy and Ron will be attending

Look at the area where the blue and SSG vipers were in your images. Snow, my friend, in my mini image. But the snow is not on the roads. Just water run off. I think you will be fine on Saturday. Go and have a good time.
Just don't polish your Viper for the run, do it after you get back home.
I'm looking forward to making this run, since it'll be the first one of the year. If the run is rescheduled for the following week, I won't be able to attend since I'll be at the NHRA Drag Races in Pomona!
I went on a cruise from San Diego through these roads to Julian and into Temecula.. The roads are dusty, rocky and mostly dry now, with a few snow runoff wet areas but will be wet, icy, rocky, posiibly with snow and slippery Friday and Saturday. And some of the cliffs are very deep. I will not be attending this event in the snow and I think it needs to be rescheduled..
<Z
If it doesn't rain, Dan & Mayo will be there.
If anybody is coming down from Ventura county area or the valley and wantbto caravan down send me an email
Hirk
Hi Every Vipers:
We'll be coming from Simi Valley on Saturday morning; anyone in the area would like to caravan?

The hot rod is back in the shop, but, we are hoping that it will be done and we can attend. If its not finished in time, we plan on attending with our (ssssshhhhhh....quiet) '64 Stingray.
Jen Howe & Jeff Roessler
All,
We just made the call. Chance of rain / snow is just too high.
This run has been rescheduled to next Saturday, weather permitting.
Dan
Rain and snow would make for a bad time on Palomar Mtn.
Looks like I'm going to K-1 Speed instead......I know Justin is in. Anyone else?
good call Dan.
Not a very fun drive in the snow on those roads next to deep cliffs.
See ya guys next weekend then.
Hey Lance, I'm in for K1 if you are going. What time and how about the Torrance location?
Ben
For anyone who wants to come out....
We'll be at K-1 Speed in Torrance for some friendly "paint tradin" ^10 at 11:00 am
Come on out and have some fun, even if we aren't driving vipers.
Aha the Kawata's will be taking on the Flyin' Hawaiian at their home track, this should be a very interesting sight, since Mikey came in a very close 2nd a few years ago. I have a feeling Lance is going down! =15
You Guys have fun next week, and be careful it could still be a little slippery up there!
Melissa & I already had plans to head out to the Lake.
Lance, you guys try not to hurt each other at K-1. I expect one of the O.C. boys to bring back the hardware.
G.B.
I'm going to give it my best and if that doesn't work I'll cheat !
Lucky for me, Mikey is getting bigger by the day, so the power to weight ratio is getting closer to even.
I will be there
You guys did the right thing about moving the cruise to next week. Raining pretty good today here in San Diego.
Best thing is that I now have time to catch up on some Viper maintenance in the garage =27
See everybody next week. <2
This weekend is going to be beautiful out here. Looks like this run is on! See everyone this weekend.
Kobi
=27
Please add Tim Lee and new guy Yoav to the list.
Have a great run and be safe !
Count Stephanie and I both for Saturday. Only going to bring one Snake
Glenn............. <1
Add new member Ethan to the list. He will meet you guys at the OC meet point.
Please give him a warm Welcome.
I plan to be at the Starbucks/OC meeting place. See you there!
Those of you coming from LA and Ventura Counties, going out to the I-15 and down to the 76 exit seems a lot better than heading down the 5 through San Juan Cap and then on the 76 to the I-15. From I-5 to I-15 on the 76 is not overly enjoyable. Lots of lights, traffic, stops, construction. Coming down I-15 through Lake Elsinor and Temecula makes the snake breathe quite nicely going through the paces! Just a thought.
Looks like good weather!
Keep an eye out for Original Root. He will be at the OC meet point.
Have fun everyone and be safe !

Thank you Richard & Charlene for a great run and a great lunch!

Pictures came out great !!
On my computer they load very fast and absolutely no issues !
Can you set me up so I can upload to the gallery as well.
How much space do we have on the hard drive? >w

It is absolutely amazing to see and FEEL the power of 7000+ hp doing 300 + mph in a 1/4 mile in 4 secs !!!!
PolarBear run was an absolute HOOT!
Due to the snow on Mt. Palomar, Richard organized a remarkable "No Traffic Signal" run through the back country. We went through the most amazing tight twisty roads with full tree canopys. The weather was perfect for top up or down. The recent rains has greened up the hillsides, so everything looked fresh,a and clean.
The pace was perfect, where the Vipers could get some well needed exercise after the recent long rainy spell.
Some of the areas opened up so the snakes could get some rythum in their slither. Drivers were obviously having some fun, and some new friendships were established on the road.
Richies dinner had a run on some delicious milkshakes, =26 with the place looking like a Happy Days set.
Everybody appreciated the roped off private parking for our Vipers. One Corvette owner jumped into his car when we were arriving, and said he was going home to get his Son to see all the Vipers.
