Lisa.

Lyle would be happy to loan you his for a couple runs.

He is pretty good that way.

Tell him that Paul says it is OK. (inside joke for Lyle Lyle Crocodile)

Great time on the run Sat. The weather was perfect, the roads beautiful.

A big thanks to Richard for putting on this run. Especially liked meeting all the people from LA, Riverside and Orange Cty that made the trip down. Huge turnout for a Spirited Spring backcountry ride.

The Winery finish was a huge hit. Instead of a banquet hall chicken dinner, everybody split into small groups of 4-6 and had a chance for great conversation (a little wine didn't hurt). Everybody was laughing and sharing jokes and stories with their lunch companions.

A great start to the Viper Spring driving season.

Here is a clip  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Jy09DrEOuw  of the Ferrari Club holding their Stradale Cup racing events there.

I'm not going to miss out on this...no matter what.

While COTA is perhaps the most desirable of all the tracks in America, it is also one of the most difficult to gain entry to. Very few clubs have been able to meet their super strict requirements.

Believe this to be a great opportunity for those wishing to experience COTA other than just on a Playstation.

It is a huge track, brand new, and set up to the exacting standard of Forumla 1. Lots of safety, lots of speed, elevation changes, and a spectacular place for photographs of our cars on the track.

I know that VCA is working hard to keep the prices affordable (Viper owners tend to be pretty frugal) it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity that would be hard to pass up.

Super Expensive to send a two car team over to LeMans. With Gen V sales slowing down maybe the budget needed to be cut somewhere, and focus on the USA Tudor series where they are doing pretty well.

Declining this Viper effort in LeMans has resulted in the two waiting list Ferrari entrants to move up to the starting grid. At least Fiat will still have the same amount of representation, with or without the Vipers.

I checked with AAA, and they are all out of Braille road maps for this area. If anyone has an extra Braille version, please bring it along.

Those roads North of San Diego are fantastic, and Viper friendly, and the winery is first class.

Todd.

This is a fantastic deal for someone. I passed the info on to Guy Chandler who might be interested.

If it would be any help, I have the stock 3:07 gear set that originally came in that 03 you bought from me. It is yours for free if it could be useful for you.

This is how I feel about the club being torn apart.

Hard to watch, but it is really happening.

Earlier last year I promised Lance that I would join which ever the National SoCal Club decided to affilliate.

Now that Lance has stepped down as Regional President, I wonder if anybody would be upset if I re-joined with VCA without waiting until the SoCal Board finishes their evaluation and decides which way to go.

Reason for this is lately, I have read things that makes me not want to join the VOA. Kind of what happened in Nevada, as well as they seem to be not all that different from the way that VCA is now set up.

Now understanding that even if SoCal decides to go with VOA, that the VCA has decided to still run their own club (New VCA) in SoCal. Two clubs could coexist in the same region as is being done elsewhere

At one time the SoCal VCA club was the largest, most successful and most active of all the regional clubs, I hope it would be OK to join.

I have some goodies for my 09 I want to buy, and would like to get the VPA discount if possible.

I have already lost enought Viper friends through my activities at VCA, and would hope to not loose any more.

I would also like to support Dan and Cathy, as well as Lance in continuing to offer regional and national events for all us Viper owners.

If anyone would be upset at me doing this, please advise.

Just got this note from Pam Winters, in San Diego:

A sincere  Holiday Tip for my friends &  relatives:

With the  Holidays upon us I would like to share a personal
experience with my friends  about drinking and driving.

As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on
the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well, two days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails followed by an after dinner liqueur.
Feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit.  That's when I  did something that I've never done before - I took a cab home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police road block, but since it was a cab they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.  This was a real surprise as I had never driven a cab before, I don't know where I got it and  now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.

Drive Safe this Holiday Season!!

Seasons Greetings.
