PolarBear run was an absolute HOOT!

Due to the snow on Mt. Palomar, Richard organized a remarkable "No Traffic Signal" run through the back country. We went through the most amazing tight twisty roads with full tree canopys. The weather was perfect for top up or down. The recent rains has greened up the hillsides, so everything looked fresh,a and clean.

The pace was perfect, where the Vipers could get some well needed exercise after the recent long rainy spell.

Some of the areas opened up so the snakes could get some rythum in their slither. Drivers were obviously having some fun, and some new friendships were established on the road.

Richies dinner had a run on some delicious milkshakes,  =26 with the place looking like a Happy Days set.

Everybody appreciated the roped off private parking for our Vipers.  One Corvette owner jumped into his car when we were arriving, and said he was going home to get his Son to see all the Vipers.

You guys did the right thing about moving the cruise to next week. Raining pretty good today here in San Diego.

Best thing is that I now have time to catch up on some Viper maintenance in the garage =27

See everybody next week. <2

<o Wanted to add my thanks to Nino and Ruth for opening their air conditioned home to us.

Great food, cold drinks, =19 and the chance to drive a 1942 Ford Tractor in the back corral.

Special thanks to Ruth for running the Margaretta Ville bar with cool smoothies and fresh drinks.  <L
Hope all is well with Nino's house, as the fires are closer than comfort.

Thanks to Nino for bringing out his Nitro powered remote control dune buggy.  <2

So we had flying monkeys, out of control R/C cars, a 3 speed 24 hp tractor, a cool swiming pool, neighbor in full size 4 seater dune buggys, a snake named Freddy, goats across the street, and a tour of Nino's fortress of solitude featuring momentos from all 9 (or was it 10) VOI's he has attended.

<m  You need to watch Ferris Buellers Day off to see how this can be done.  After the run, just jack up your Viper, and run it in reverse till the miles go away. It did not work out so well in the movie, but the theory was sound.

Additionally, time spent sliding sideways around mountain curves will not show up on the odometer <2.

Also Nino was over at out house last week, and took home a bunch of beers for the party. They need to be consumed.  <K

See everybody at Nino's and we can make fun of Ruths bad leg. >l

I'll bring some flying Monkeys... <K <K <K <K <K <K

Dan.

If you bring the ACR' I'll trade you a ride in it, and let Cathy drive the Bentley Convertible GTC. (Think she would look great in it). >g

Thats a spectacular color combination. I remember when we saw it in Detroit at the auto show as a "Concept".

Maybe the highest evolution of the street Viper.

If this is the last of the breed, at least it is going out on top.

Congratulations.

Thanks Dave for another great back country Pumpkin' run. >s You kept up a good pace, and the windey roads were fun. No traffic to speak of (easily dispatched) and perfect weather. Stoping at Randy Begin's new shop was a great idea. Thanks to Randy and his family for the fantastic lunch, and a great gathering of snakes.

Eight second Hugh's new Snake Skin Green coupe looked fantastic, and well as the Red/Black ACR. Impressive  looking parking lot.  >u

Thanks to Dan and Cathy for bringing the big group in from LA and Orange county.

I loved seeing the local meter maid (in her GO-4) take on the entire group while Carl got yelled at for blocking the driveway. All ended well with a jaunty wave from the officer as she putted away. <2

Good times for sure.
