General Viper Discussions / Very sad news
June 12, 2021, 03:47:21 PM

Raj joined our Club in 2011 shortly after buying his first Viper.
His infectious smile, bubbly personality and incredible positive attitude infused our Club with an awesome energy that will live on for a very long time.

We all have met a person who has left a long lasting impression on us, but rare is it that you find a person that can touch the lives of many many people.
Raj definitely left his mark on the Viper family.  He was never ever one that needed to be first in line or concerned about getting something for himself, he was always the one who was GIVING for someone else's benefit.  It is a trait that is so rare to find.

Apart from all that he did for our Club, donating his artwork for auction, giving us his graphic expertise in designing the Club logo and setting up Club events for us to enjoy, he was also an actor, professional model, singer, Master Mason, proud Shriner and a renowned artist.  His artwork has found a place in an impressive client list to the likes of: HRH Queen Elizabeth II, George Lucas, Toyota, King Hamad bin Isa (Bahrain), Sir Patrick Stewart, Baroness Margaret Thatcher, Janet Jackson, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah (Brunei), President Ronald Reagan, NHL, Diana Princess of Wales, Ferrari, King Hussein (Jordan), Roy Disney, McLaren, William Shatner, Harison Ford, HRH Prince Charles and Frank Sinatra

Raj's kind and generous heart touched so many people from so many facets of life.

After a long battle with cancer, Raj sadly left us on June 8th.  He will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

To honor Raj, the family has invited the Club to bring their Vipers to his funeral services on June 26th at 9:00 am at the Rose Hills Sky Chapel

Please either respond to this thread or RSVP so that the family will know who is attending.

I highly recommend American Custom Lifts   https://aclifts.com/car-lifts/automotive-lifts/

The engineering, build quality and materials used are first rate.    Trust me, you don't want to take a chance when it comes to something like this.

Good luck !

We will still be meeting at 9:00 am at the Vons on the corner of Magnolia and Atlanta in Huntington Beach.
We will leave there at 9:30 and drive south on PCH to Crystal Cove.   Dave will be there collecting toys for the CHP toy drive.

This has been a very challenging year to say the least.   Dave worked his butt off to put on this event and the stay at home orders closed the State beach where the event was supposed to happen.
Not wanting to let down the kids that could definitely use a bright spot in such an upside down year, he has moved the location to Crystal Cove to collect the toys and donations.

Let's join Dave in his efforts to be a positive influence for those that are in need.

It has been difficult to determine what restaurant facilities will be open or closed due to the latest Stay at Home orders.   For this reason, we have not been able to arrange a concrete plan for lunch following our cruise to Crystal Cove.  There is a Starbucks there at Crystal Cove which we could grab a drink and a snack at the very least.

See you all on Sunday !!

I'm staying at the Hampton Inn in Lancaster as usual.

2300 W Double Play Way, Lancaster, CA 93536  661-940-9194

Finding a place to eat Fri and Sat night will be a challenge as most restaurants are take out only.
Black Angus says they have dine in, so maybe we try there on Sat night.  Hopefully we can get in.

Or maybe we just pick up take out and eat in our hotel lobby
