Supercar Sunday, Calabasas; World Class Motoring, Agoura then Lunch
Last year was such a success that we've planned a do-over...
Hey Viper Club,
The Supercar Show is huge! There's nearly every car you can imagine. After our visit here, about 10AM, I'll plan on leading the group through the hills on a nice twisty drive (a different route then last year). The view at the top is fantastic, and the drive is fun. We'll stop at World Class Motoring for a little child's play... About 11:30AM we'll head to Wood Ranch BBQ for a nice lunch.
This year, there are only a couple of events in the Ventura county area, I hope you can make this one and help pack the car show with Vipers.

Hey Viper club. The Super car show is huge! There is nearly every car you can imagine there. I plan on taking us from the SCS show through the hills to a nice twisty drive that we did not do last year. The view at the the top is fantastic, and the drive is fun. This is one of the only events up in the Ventura county area, I hope you can make the event fun and packed with vipers.
I'll be there early trying to get us some good spots for the Viper family...
Angel
I'm in too ! >u
The food was really good last year - that should get Art's attention!

I'm in +1 as yet to be determined Co-Pilot.

Hey Mark - glad your in for this one. It's actually a fun run and a LOT closer to home for you! Must have taken you 3-hours to get home from Big Bear...
Cathy <9
You need to be there by 6:30, it is over by 9:00 AM, or have someone get there early and save some parking spots. Not a place to go if you want to line the cars up in a Viper area and be in the lot and get there at 8:00 AM. It is packed on the last Sunday by 7:00 AM.
Cathy and I will plan to be there before 10 ..... AM.
Long drive from South OC.

Too bad they didn't take off the wing and splitter for the third run.
08 / 09 coupes make 200 + according to Dodge.
No matter what, it is still faster than the Ford GT since NO Ford GT owner would EVER take their beautiful car out of the garage and run it in all that nasty white salt ! >l
It would be a felony to run a FGT on the salt. 5 years to life. And you are right the ACR in 6th gear is faster than a Ford GT in 4th gear which is about 175MPH just before shifting into 5th and leaving the ACR in the dust, (no salt).
However, I do believe the ACR would be faster without the front and rear spoilers. But that is not the reason to own an ACR, owning an ACR is about taking the corner on a road race and not having any issues with traction or performance. It is made to go around race corners better than any other production car. Except the 2002 Graphite GTS, of course! Which we all know is the King of Vipers driving by Hawai'ian Royalty!!! >w
"Which we all know is the King of Vipers driving by Hawai'ian Royalty!!!"
I thought there was something special about Lance ..... royalty?
<2
I believe PCH VIPER told me once his real name was "King Lili'uokalani" and he was Hawai'ian Royalty!
This was a great event and Carol & I will be there. Steven & Carol Borecki =27 <m
Ut Oh??? Must have revealed too many Hawai'ian secrets, PCH VIPER is no longer posting on this thread?
>m
Yeah....I was out back hiding the family jewels !
>l
Which Supercar are you driving and which one does Arturo get to drive for you?
Will be coming back from San Francisco on the 26th. Won't be able to make it but that is how it goes for me. I think I am doomed for Viper events.

That's why many Ford GT owners buy Vipers.
That is correct HeritageBruce - ACRBruce!
So let me get this straight. My little old SSG Coupe has a faster top end than the heffty ACRs ????
This is a good day! >w

ONLY IF YOU ACTUALLY DRIVE IT !!!! >w
Funny, PCH. If I drove it that fast, it would take me at least a week to re-detail it ! Going that fast would also mean a lot of dust on the car's undercarriage ??? >w
Just the fact alone that it can go faster makes it worthwhile! Hee Hee >g
OK, Doc,
I'll pull the wing and splitter from my ACR, then we can rent time at an air base and have a 1 mile plus drag race, your green against my ACR. Could be fun?
<2
I want the King of Hawai'i as my co-pilot and I need to be wearing two Depends, with a full boox in the back !
Yeah count me in and maybe plus one.
JAMES
Hey James,
Glad to see that you will be getting some time off to drive with us !
Looking forward to visiting with you.
Lance
Hey Doc,
OK, you take the extra weight (King of Hawai'i) and I'll go solo ..... I need every advantage that I can get.
I've heard that the GREEN cars are the fastest!

Eddie and Michelle are in for lunch see you there. <1

Do I drive the "buckboard" to this event (ACR) or ?

Are you bringing the baby too?
The buck board / stage coach it is - need to test out the new injectors. Man that car is stiff on the lousy freeways here in the LA area.
The black beast likes cooool weather, all black inside and out, big engine, lots of heat. It'll come out to play in the fall or late summer evenings - maybe tonight!
We'll be there hopefully by 9AM - ish.
Dan <2
Are you sure? That ACR would look great at the show and be a nice center piece. If anyone can be there early with me let me know so we can stake out some spaces for the Vipers. It's kind of hard to do with one car. Email me to coordinate. I was thinking of getting there around 6:30 but if I'm going to be the only one holding spaces till 8 I wil not survive =15

Hey Scott,
Is 6:30 early enough?
I'll head up early from the OC. Just say the time and I'll be there.
L
I'll be there by 6:30 also!
Hey Scott,
The ACR is the buck board.
I'll need a chiropractor or orthopedist (can the Doc make it?) standing by to straighten me out after this long, bumpy drive.
Dan <2
I'll be at Spaghettini's at 5:15 and will leave at 5:30.
Who is coming with me?

I can call you once I pass the 710 and we can hook up on the fly on the 405 if you want.

Count me in for the Show and World Class Motoring.<m Unfortunately, I have to head out before lunch. >o

No chickens and no cows here. I'm pretty certain at 5:15am I'll be passed out on my handmade 488 thread count pillow. This was my 1st anniversary present from the wifey! Hmm, I wonder what is in store for the 2nd anniversary... maybe a matching comforter?
You guys take is easy on speeds and crossing the double yellow lines in the Santa Monica Mountains. I am an expert on this and can attest to the difficulty in beating a ticket rap. Make PCH Viper lead on any run in the Santa Monica Mtns. He is Hawai'ian Royalty and can get out of a ticket easily, unlike the rest of us!
If you secure one of these "Mahi'ole" to the front hood of BITE U 2, and then head into the Santa Monica Mtns, guaranteed no tickets! (http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm287/AtomicGT/aliihelmet2.gif)
Take it easy on VIPERX, those ACRs are a touch slower at top end speed! hee hee =6

I plan to be there 6:30ish- looks like we'll have a good showing
Please add Eddie & Gladys .
Thank you

Pillowcase should be SSG with Orange logos! Right Arturo?

L
LANCE,
I hate to get there any earlier. I don't think there is a need, should be able to grab a bunch of spots.
The problem comes when we have a bunch of spots and Vipers don't show up until 8:00 am. People will not be happy with us.
One more note, I understand the local vendors here are trying to get this show shut down. They claim people don't spend money when they are at the show. So #1 if you are coming it would be great to get some coffee and snacks at the coffee roasters shop and or other shops.
#2 You should plan on attending because this is a big car show and it may be gone next year.
Hope to see you there.
Hirk
One more thing I forgot to mention. All the local CHP and law enforcement are well aware of this car show. So be on the look out for cops there are lying in wait to nail you to the wall. We all know Vipers kick ass no need to smoke our tires there or speed any were near the show. <2
There will probably only be 3 or 4 of us heading out from the OC. Most are from LA and the Valley.
I'd much rather come out early and be first in line for pastries at the Roaster.
See ya on Sunday !
Lance, give us a shout when you pass the 710 and we'll hit the Fwy and see if we can connect. Mike

Thanks Art. The milk was to wash down my 2nd slice of anniversary carrot cake/cream cheese cake (coated in insane buttercream that is so good you feel instantly guilty). The girls that made our wedding cake made a special one a year later so I didn't have to deal with the freezing nonsense.
You guys out in HB could give them a look for any custom cake needs. Tom Girl Baking Company is actually located in that concession stand On the beach, opposite Twin Dolphins Drive. Of course, if you pick a cake up in the Viper, for your sake, make sure you don't accelerate or corner too hard on the way home. <B

My car is still has 3/4 tank of race gas in it and I don't want to "waste" it on the streets tomorrow. Oh man, I may have to bring the family car tomorrow.
Thank you Scott and Laura we had a great time Eddie and Michelle.
Thanks Scott and Laura for taking the time to organize this event for the club again this year.
It is great to have Club Members step up and run events for everyone to enjoy ! >v
