Kobi,

Speed Ventures has a beginner group and does allow passengers in the group that Mike Burgoyne and I would run in, so you could get a ride with one of our group.

CA Speedway can be very fast on the oval, not so fast in the infield.

Dan

More like a very, very, very fast oval  <u

Hey Ron,

I ran the Roval at CA Speedway last year with Speed Ventures and plan to run again this year with them.  They should be there on Nov 22 and 23 as posted above.

Hope we can get some Vipers out.  Would love to get our own run group if possible.

Please contact Aaron and let me know (if you don't mind) if getting our own run group is possible and about what it would cost.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan

Dan I will call Aaron and see if it is possible to get our own run group, but remember the Roval is $17K for a weekend as opposed to WSIR at $5K. Own run group or not, this is a rare opportunity to do a great track perfect for Vipers.

Wing and Splitter arrived from Autoform last week - didn't have time to install them.

Will have them on before Viper Days, so it'll be Old ACR (my 2001) vs New ACR.

I just hope I can keep up.

Dan

I'll errrrrrrrr Rocman will have the car dialed in also, track splitter on, corner weighted, track alignment and motons adjusted. Oh and a full Balenger exhaust system  <B

I hadda blast, I regret not getting to run in the Viper group and "play" with some of the hot shoes, but I hadda let Rocman drive his ACR sometime  >w HPDE 4 was fun though. It was great running with you guys but it was greater hot lapping the ACR  ^8, high 1:29s are in the future, see ya at VD.

BTW, Art I got your email and true I will never forget our first meeting  <B

Dan, I've known Aaron Bitterman for years if you need any help setting up a run session for the Viperclub. Remember Cali Speedway is expensive, but worth it. The infield course is fun and challenging, but the ROVAL configuration will blow your minds. It's made for Vipers, it incorporates the infield tight course with about 2/3rds of the Speedway used that is FAST. I highly recommend it and Speed Ventures is a great group to run with.

I'm in for Sunday.  I hope to be able to keep up with everybody and not get in Ron's way in the ACR.  <E

Lets see Redsled + full race Gen2 GT1 car vs. Rebell + stock ACR, no contest, stick to Buttonwillow Jonathan, WSIR is my house!!!  <D

Hey Carl,

Wish you could make this event.

Rocman bought a new black ACR with a single red stripe.  Photos on the VCA board.

He'll be out running with us this Sunday at Willow.

Dan

Carl is a wuss, that's right Carl a wuss. But he was nice enough to take Rocman as a passanger a few weeks ago when we were at WSIR for a fast ride.

I remember Carl when he was slow......very slow......lol.

Check's in the mail, Paul's double checking the car, and now we want to ask if we can have an instructor (we plan to share the car) This is getting more exciting by the moment and I'm getting kinda nervous.  We're studying the track map and those tight turns look pretty, well, tight!  Are you sure you want me on this track?  (Deep breath, I can do it!)  Pam

Don't worry, you will have a blast. The track is safe with a lot of run off. Have an instructor and drive within your limits and ask LOTS of questions. I have about 2,500 laps at Willow Springs so I will be able to answer any questions. Some things to do in advance:

Torque you lugnuts to 90 lbs. if you don't have a torque wrench ask some on at the track to borrow one.
Tire presurres to about 29-30 lbs for beginner/novices
Remove all loose objects and floor mats.
Check oil.
Bring a cooler with lots of fluids!!! I cannot stress this enough, hydrate, long sleeves & pants and a helmet and adrenaline = HOT
Sun screen should do it.
