David, Why wait, just buy a new one

I know the depreciation hit will be a drag but you could own it now bla bla bla...... ;D

Hate to see you sell your Viper but those SLS AMGs are cool.

Good luck in your search,

Ron

They are good people at Carl Burgers and while I could have gotten "special" pricing they were pretty ordinary with their initial sales prices ($10k pack) on Gen 5s. They have come to realize in order to move cars they need to be competitive.

The service manager is a friend that has helped myself and others by resetting tire pressure sensors for free and I was very comfortable letting them change out my window regulator which was under my maxcare warranty.

For those who may not know La Mesa is in San Diego County.

Has Richard improved his driving skills at all?
And what's with that orange Viper he drives; copper tail or whatever it is;
it's like, LOOK AT ME, seriously?  8)

Suggest we all bring a map.

Not sure how to take that Paul. A lot has changed hasn't it.

I like Dan & Cathy and I know how much (really I can only imagine) they have put into the SoCal Viper Club and the VCA.

Dan has stated numerous times that He isn't interested in being the VCA National President  (unless that has changed).

Honestly I don't see this as a decision of supporting Dan or not supporting Dan. If He owned a Viper business and I had a choice between Dan or another company, obviously I would choose to do business with Dan. This is a lot different than that and without rehashing all that has happened with the VCA I will leave it at that.

I know your roots run deep and that you will make the right decision for yourself.

If it were just about Dan & Cathy then absolutely. It goes much much deeper then that.

First and foremost I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Hoping that the SoCal board can make quick work of this in the new year so we can all start to mend from all the agony. I remember just 4 short years ago how excited I was to have realized a dream and purchased a brand new 2008 Viper AND became a member of the Southern California Viper Club and the Viper Club of America. The events (specifically) of the last few months have damped this enthusiasm for membership at the national level and especially the VCA. I know the VCA has made some progress lately but feel it is too little too late.

I feel that the Viper Owners Association has the right attitude and approach for us moving forward.

Hoping you all have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014

Go over to www.driveviper.com for a series of questions from the SoCal BoD with answers from the Viper Owners Association.

This may be helpful in providing input.

Has a decision been made? Have We talked with VOA yet?

Hey Scott,

Are you able to share who the VCA conference call was with and who will be on the VOA call?

Thanks

I just posted " Sad to see the VCA go, but think it is time to hit the reset button" over on VCA forum. My post lasted less than a minute lol.

It is unfortunate that Dan is in the position he is in, but, he knew full well what he was getting himself into when he ran for treasurer and again when he accepted LS appointment to VP and then President of the VCA. Not really sure how the current Pres can appoint another Pres, or maybe once the current Pres steps down, then the VP automatically becomes President.

With the lack of transparency over the last few years, this is more than an uphill battle for the VCA.

This is probably more from members asking questions and not receiving answers than it is from anything else.

If you ask direct pertinent questions and all you hear are crickets chirping.....The national officers and the BOD had plenty of opportunities to squash a lot of this before it even started.

Let's see if they can fix it.

You beat me to it. I logged on to post about this and wanted to get everyone in The SoCal regions position on this. Everyone please go to Viper Alley and VCA Forums and read up. (will take you hours if not days) as lots of BIG changes are coming.

What are the clubs officers positions?

Thanks

Ron
