If there is sufficient interest - and I think there will be, I'll look into renting a drag track for a day.  It will likely be a Friday because there just isn't anything available or reasonably priced on a weekend, but I think we could pull it off. 

We'd need about 30 + Vipers and I think costs would be in the $150 to $200 range per car for the day depending upon the number of cars.  This way, we could get more runs than we'd want.

Perhaps we could get one or more of our vendors to spring for lunch and trackside support.

That's a bit of a drive.  The car show starts at 7:00AM.  We will be leaving the car show at about 8 - 8:15 and cruising down 133 to PCH (go to the calendar and click on the event for more info).  If you could get there by 8:00, you could get a feeling for this event and then drive down 133 with the group.

08 Viper should be in showrooms this summer, according to SRT.  You can put your name on a waiting list with Woodhouse Dodge or any other Dodge Dealer.

I just returned from Detroit where I was lucky enough to visit the SRT portion of DC's tech center.  The VCA group that I was with got to see several 2008 Vipers and watch several 08 engines run on the dynos there.  Very impressive pieces.  Lots of neat features in these cars.  There were three on display at the Detroit Auto Show.  I'll put a detailed post together soon.  I also had dinner with an SRT engineer who indicated that there are some more neat plans for the Viper program in the future.

I wish we could make this one.  The lastest news is that there may be fewer cars than we thought from the Pontiac Group, as bunch fewer.  More runs for us!

Normally, the Viper Days group puts a hold on a bunch of rooms.  Did you check this out Anthony?

Cool looking SRTC-ACR.

That little red switch on the dash looks like it might actuate the Accusump.  Any other ideas?

I put these on my GTS and they work great!

We'll be in Detroit or we'd make this one.  Don't forget the drags on Sunday at Fontana.

Check the car magazines and the VCA Forum.  Plenty of photos and news on the 2008 Viper.  No production dates yet though.
