VCA Member's Holiday Party
December 3, 2011 - Saturday
                   (http://www.kouchicentral.com/images/11-malloy/DSC_9295.JPG)

The So Cal VCA Member's Holiday party will be held at the Malloy Foundation in Corona CA.  (close to the 15 Fwy and 91 Fwy)
Mr. Malloy has agreed to hosting our Holiday Party in and amongst his incredible private collection of historic race cars which he has "garaged" in a showroom setting.

Time:
Cocktails and tour 6:00 pm
Dinner at 7:00 pm

Cost:
$75.00 per person

We have a maximum capacity of 100 people, so mark your calendar and sign up early to ensure a spot at this very special venue.

Charity
This year we are proud to sponsor the Orangewood Children's Foundation http://orangewoodfoundation.org/ (http://orangewoodfoundation.org/)  This Foundation provides support to the many unfortunate kids that have been removed from their homes due to various conditions like abuse, neglect and abandonment.  We are going to specifically target the older kids (14 - 18 years old) in the home, since they are often overlooked during the Holidays.

Our hope is that each Couple that attends the Holiday Party finds it in their heart to donate one gift suitable for a young adult.  For ideas, please visit: http://orangewoodfoundation.org/docs/2011_OCF_Holiday_Wish_List.pdf (http://orangewoodfoundation.org/docs/2011_OCF_Holiday_Wish_List.pdf)

Lance announced at the Ventura Run that we are going to a special place for the Holiday Party.
A few clues were thrown out.  (Awesome, Amazing, Fantastic, and the Coolest!) I think I figured it out.

Can You?   >m         Set the Date.  Team Izard is in!   <1 ^2

As much as I am DYING to post the pictures of what lies behind the double doors, I'm not going to ruin the surprise for everyone.   All I can say is that the details of the Party are slowly coming together and we are in for an incredible  treat.    >r

We have been hard at work getting things in order for the Holiday Party on Dec 3rd.
I have updated the first post and will have a Paypal Link up shortly.

Please note that this is a Private Collection and one of the conditions we agreed to was that we would not post the address of this facility.  Specific directions will be emailed to each Member that registers.

The Malloy Foundation is located very close to the 15 Fwy and the 91 Fwy.  We haven't booked any overnight accomodations at this point.....however will certainly do so if Members chime in early saying that they want to spend the night.

The biggest issue for the Club in setting up a room block is that the Club essentially has to buy the block of rooms that we reserve.  If people don't use them, we still have to pay for them.

Of course we could just pick a hotel and people could make their reservations on their own as well.  I can look into that as well....

THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON PARTY!!!
With Thanksgiving coming up quickly and all of us getting busy for the Holiday Season, please take a look at your calendar and see if you can fit in an AWESOME Holiday Party for the evening of Saturday, December 3rd.
Lance has been working on this for MONTHS and it would be a shame to miss out on it, as it's going to be special.  We'll be presenting our 2012 EVENTS CALENDAR at the Party, also, and will have it up on the website shortly after that.  So, let's hear from you!  Get your names up on the list for the HOLIDAY PARTY!

I just purchased a couple gift cards for i-tunes to bring to the Party for the charity.  I plan to get a couple more from Wal Mart.  Such an easy way to provide a teenager with a gift, and a great way to contribute to our chosen charity project!  Try to remember to grab something like the gift cards and bring to our Party!  Pam

If you usually don't bring a camera to events like this, please due so this time. You will see some VERY historic race cars that you may never see again. I'm not saying he will, but Mr. Malloy is usually pretty generous about letting people sit in some of the cars. His memorabilia collection is also amazing. You know I'm biting my tongue Lance!

We closed out 2011 with our Holiday Party at the Malloy Foundation and everything turned out great!

Once again, a HUGE thanks to our Club Officers which did so much for me all year long.
Of course all our efforts would be wasted if the members did not come out and support the Club at all the different events throughout the year, so THANK YOU VCA members !  You are the true ingredient to all the fun.

I tried really hard to take some pictures, but only managed to get a handful.   They are now posted on my site
www.kouchicentral.com (http://www.kouchicentral.com)

Here are just a few:

This truly is a working garage and the work they do on Mr. Malloy's cars is incredible.

He has quite a collection.

As you can see, we had our tables set up for over 90 people and still were dwarfed by all the room and magnificent cars.

Our table centerpieces with Viper ornaments inside.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to out-do what Dan and Cathy established as the norm for our Club events.
The only thing I could do was to put a small part of me into the event and hope for the best.
Each attendee got a special So Cal Viper desk clock.  Mr. Malloy got the large wall clock in appreciation from our Club.

How many automotive CEO's interact with their customers on a first name basis?  ONE !
I am still in absolute awe of the fact that he would take the time to write a personal letter and mail out a signed poster for our club to auction off at our Holiday Party.  THANK YOU Ralph and Doris !!!

The only thing I could do was to put a small part of me into the event and hope for the best.
Each attendee got a special So Cal Viper desk clock.  Mr. Malloy got the large wall clock in appreciation from our Club.

Lance - I am BLOWN away by your craftsmanship.  I don't know where you found the time to crank out ALL those beautiful hand-crafted clocks (not to mention the DVD and everything else you did for this party)!  Thank you for your incredible generosity in time and talent!
