what formally was know as the Pantera-Ferrari club event and should now be called the Viper guys weekend at Willow is a few months away.

I've signed up and my adult son will also be going for the first time.  He'll be driving the green group in the Panoz.    Which those that attended might remember last year I let another friend of his run the panoz a couple of sessions in the green group on Sunday also when his car had a tire issue.    An interesting session to watch.

Anyway, I'll be there Friday night staying at the track.    Hope to see the regulars and hopefully a few newbies.     This is a great event if you ever just want to see what it's like to track your Viper or other car.

Sign ups are here:   http://www.westcoastracinginc.com/WCR/Welcome.html

Attending:
Carl

I took my Panoz up to Willow and left it today and once home I sadly remembered I forgot to pull the lap belt and submarine belt from the racecar.  I have an extra set of shoulder belts but that's useless with out any of the other stuff.

I'm looking to borrow them for NVE3 if anyone has an extra.  Needs to be clip in.

Thanks!

Track Events / OTR on May 9th
April 18, 2018, 11:58:15 AM
I know it's right after NVE3 but it's real track time for anyone interested.  Novice to Experienced.

I'm leaning towards it but haven't signed up yet.

Track dates are winding  down for the Summer.    I may also do NASA at Cal Speedway in June

Let me know if any of you all are going to go.

No longer needed by me.   Easy to install and works great with the 6 point belts.

$100 takes it

Hi everyone,I am working with, though not for, Carl Burger Dodge in La Mesa. Their goal is to be a bigger more involved SRT dealer and we have discussed ways for that to grow.  Sometime next year the plan is to have me join them and help host social events like car shows, get togethers and track days all focused around the SRT line.  As part of end goal I told them they would have to work with folks I know from the clubs on special pricing lower than than the retail sales guys can offer to walk in customers.  They have agreed with the understanding they cannot lose money like some of the dealers are that are selling well below actual  costs of the Viper (we've all seen those deals).  They are committed enough to have done two dealer trade to bring two additional Vipers into SoCal.  Those two are with Reliable  Transport on their way here now.So I bring this up in the event anyone is looking to move into the Gen V or any other SRT vehicles.  If so, and you like any of the showings at Carl Burger let me know and I will see if we can get you the deal you need to move into that direction.   Personally I don't make a dime on this but I do have a goal to work part time for them early next year as my semi retirement job  :) Shoot me an email if you'd like to discuss furtherThanks,Carl[email protected]

Track Events / track stuff for Gen 2 for sale
September 29, 2014, 08:02:18 PM
I sold my last Gen 2 and have a bunch of left over stuff.

Track wheels, though good enough for a bad ass street Viper.  I posted those in the parts for sale.

But I have a bunch of other stuff
Brake bias valve, still new in the package, rear toe brackets new in the package, fire ext with fresh black powder coated bracket, tow hooks front and rear, black powder coated,, vented hood cowl.  Probably other stuff that I need to search for in the garage.

Anyone interested in anything shoot me an [email protected]

Thanks
Carl

For Sale - Parts / CCW wheels for sale
September 29, 2014, 07:50:34 PM
Ex track wheels, 18". 12"F and 13"R    I had them powder coated and have brand new lug nuts to match.  Wheels have not had tires installed since powder coating.  Lug nuts and center caps included, make me a decent offer.  Will deliver to Willow on 10/4 to Saxtons event

General Viper Discussions / free tires if wanted
May 08, 2013, 07:34:21 AM
I have a set of PS Cups that I'm taking off my Viper.  They are ~08 vintage but low miles.  They are somewhat hard.  285 x18 fronts (I think but maybe 295--need to double check) and 345 x 19 rears.

I have new tires coming in within a couple of days and if someone wants these let me know

catwood @ san.rr.com

Otherwise they are going to get left at the tire shop.

For Sale - Vehicles / Selling my ACR
November 07, 2012, 07:53:55 PM
I'll be post up an ad over at the VCA but I wanted the locals to know I'll be selling the ACR.  For those that don't know this is Dan Evert's old car though I've put in a fresh engine and removed the aero.  Car runs strong.  It's a 2001 ACR Red with Silver stripes.  I've owned it for a little over two years.  Ask Dan and a few other Gen 4 owners, the car is faster down the front straight at Willow than a Gen 4 >w  due to the cam and head work.

anyway, I've found one like my very first one and would like to move on it quickly.

I'm asking $30K for the ACR.  It just turned over 43K miles last night on the way home from work.

Also, for those that don't know a year ago I spun a bearing at Willow.  I then put in an Arrow VRL spec long block had the heads freshened up by Tim Jelle.   It's now a forged piston engine.   Todd and A&C performance did the R&R along with the new clutch and some other things like fluids etc.

It has a variety of nice mod, Jessel RR, Dave's BBK, Roll bar, forgeline wheels, SST brakelines.  Other things I'm not thinking about.

Let me know if you have an interest or just pass along.

Thanks,
Carl

Upcoming Events of Interest / Attentoin '09 Vipers
February 18, 2010, 01:01:55 PM
I know of someone up in the orange county area looking to take a reading on your OBD2 computer.  It takes about 2 minutes.  He's under contract with Dodge to collect data.  Your car has to have at least 2500 miles on it and not be recently reflashed.  There is a small gift included it you do it.  I got a letter from dodge to have it done and met the guy yesterday.  He needs to collect 8 or 9 more samples to complete his data collection.

If you interested in meeting up with him drop me a note at [email protected] and I'll give you his contact info.

The gift was well worth the 2 minutes invested.
