Duke's Brunch & Poker Run
For several years now, Duke's Huntington Beach has opened their doors early for the So Cal Viper Club to enjoy their Sunday Brunch with preferred front row parking and this year will be no different.
Like last year, after brunch there will be a Texas Hold'em Poker Run. We'll leave Huntington Beach and cruise 27-miles along the coast picking up cards along the way, and end up in a cool park in Laguna Niguel. There will be cool prizes for the top winners!
"Bring a bottle of water or two - we get thirsty while at the park."
Plan to arrive Duke's around 9:30AM - Doors open for brunch at 9:50AM
We'll park our own cars - but there will be a $5 valet charge.Breakfast will be in the Huntington Beach Room overlooking the ocean and pier.
We'll enter as a group through the Barefoot Bar Entrance (north side).
Please note, that we'll have tables of 6-10 persons and Duke's will bill us by table.
Poker Run - Depart Duke's at 11AM
1st Stop Fashion Island – Pick up your first poker card
2nd Stop Crystal Cove – Pick up your second poker card
3rd Stop Laguna Niguel – The final cards will be played
"Will you be the WINNER?" =28Click here and PRINT the Route Map (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=317+Pacific+Coast+Hwy.,+Huntington+Beach,+CA+92648+(DUKE%27S)&daddr=33.612756,-117.875125+to:151+Newport+Center+Dr,+Newport+Beach,+CA+92660+(FASHION+ISLAND)+to:Reef+Point+Dr+to:CA-1+S+to:Park+Rd,+Laguna+Niguel,+CA+92677+(BEAR+BRAND+PARK)&hl=en&geocode=FbGOAQIdi3H3-CkNOsIjQiHdgDHyPhQCuTdyPQ%3B%3BFUDcAAId81L5-CmBAEsfiODcgDH_JBEtBDIuIw%3BFaYzAAIdQBH6-A%3BFUbN_gEd1Mj7-A%3BFfUU_wEduPz7-CntJDGHJfDcgDF8wbeHhjCpwA&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=18&via=1,4&sll=33.613172,-117.874841&sspn=0.004271,0.008256&ie=UTF8&ll=33.572866,-117.777557&spn=0.273464,0.528374&z=12)

Hey Mike,
We met Tateshi in Detroit and had a great time. Okonomiyaki is the best in Tokyo. I've yet to find a decent place in LA that cooks it. Is he coming up for VOI-11?
See ya at Dukes !

Eddie R, Demoe and Art will be meeting at Denny's off of Roxford on the I-5 in Sylmar at 8 am departing. Please let us know who else would like to join.
Irfan, Ben, Mike and Cheryl maybe we can pick you guys up at some entrance to the 405? Let me know.
Cathy,
Please add Diane and ScottP to the list. We're looking forward to it!
Hi Cathy,
Just confirming that my sister Kristi Schaffter and I will be there for "Dukes". Lookin' forward to seeing everyone.
Brett Schaffter >w
Hey Brett,
Cathy ordered your shirt and hopefully she'll have it for you on Sunday.
Please add Tim and Stratton to the list.
Hey Art,
I can't make it. Mikey has a basketball tournament game in the morning and then we are going to the Long Beach Grand Prix right after. The World Challenge Vipers race at 4:00 in case some of you are interested.
<9 Please please please add Dave & Lisa Chrisman to the list <9
Steve and Lynda Badum will be there. Looking forward to it. Thanks. Badman
Lance,
Tateshi may not make it because his son Yoshi has started high school this April and he doesn't want him to miss any time. Tateshi did say he may try to come himself but was not sure. We do have a very good Okonomiyaki restaurant in our area. The specialize in the Osaka and Hiroshima styles. You can cook it yourself or have them cook it. Let us know if you and Lori would like to go sometime.
Mike
Can't make this one, Going to Long Beach Grand Prix. Next time... <B

Hey Guys, Joel & Madona would like to join up with you on on your journey south ! I can be at the Santa Monica Blvd exit off the 405 at 8:15, It's an E-Z OFF and ON <L joel
Hey Joel,
Sounds good, I would say shoot for 8:30. We're picking up Irfan off of Sherman Way at 8:20, easy off and on there, we should be at the Santa Monica exit by 8:35.
Yeah Baby ! 8:35 it is, There is a gas station at the bottom of the ramp on the right, Before you cross Santa Monica Blvd
I'll be there, just stay in the center lane & get right back on the 405 So, I'll follow you on, Sound Good ?
O> Joel & Madona
Music to my ears Joel, wish Doc could make this run, we'll have to get a copy of his 2011 calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Please add Tom and Shawn to the list !!!
Paul & Teresa will be unable to attend.
Gotta go to Texas for a business meeting.
Ya'all have a good time.
P.
I'll be there and I will be bringing my buddy Anthony.
I just picked up the car from Ross Murray at Exoticraft. Ross is a really great guy and knows his stuff from engineering to fabrication to suspension!
Installed poly sway bar bushings
Installed adjustable end links front and rear (took pre-load off sway bars)
Corner Weight
Alignment
Installed 500 lbs front springs hypercoil
Check and Adjusted rebound dampeners
I thought I wouldn't notice the difference unless I was at the track, but man the car feels great! The bouncy-ness I use to get on the freeway at steady speed is gone! Car feels very pointy and crisp. Can't wait to try her out at Willow Springs again in June!
Yo Anhtuan! You want to join the caravan? Tell us off ramp off the 405 works for you and I'll give you a call once we're on our way.
Hey Art,
Yes sign me up for the caravan.
How about the Burger King at the Crenshaw exit off the 405. Its across the McDonalds we met at last time before the March Madness Run. I can be there by 8:30am Then its about 30-40 mins to Dukes. When you exit off the 405 on to Crenshaw, just make a left. Go under the 405 bridge and Burger King is to the left. Easy in and then loop around back out on Crenshaw and back to the 405 South.
Map:

Let me know if this works!
Please add Jeffery and Robert from Nev to the list !!
My buddy Anthony will attending as well...so its Anhtuan +1.
thanks!

Great to see everyone for a (short time). Here's some pictures from our own "event" at Dukes in Malibu - anyone got a map ;-)
I think I made record time driving from Malibu to Hunington Beach!!
=15
p.s. look how nice and open the Valet Parking area was for us in Malibu - no door dings ;-)
Hey Brett,
Glad you made it despite the detour, if it's any consolation, you're not the first to make that mistake, and no I'm not speaking from personal experience, but there were some members a few years back who made the same mistake.
We had a blast hanging out with everyone yesterday. Thanks to Dan and Cathy for puting together such a great event >t And thanks to Lance and the rest of the members for making us feel so welcome and keeping us from getting lost. We aren't going to make the poppies run but we plan on making it to at least four more events this year.
<L Thank you Cathy and Dan for another fun day with all of our Viper friends!! Poker Run was a big hit!! Even the loosers had fun!!!Hope you have a great week!! Kudos to Lance!! Love to see the shots of everyone!!Your Rock n Roll Pals, Madona and Joel <2 >g >u =28

I hear Vette's taste like chicken .....
As a Vette owner I can confirm that they do indeed taste like chicken....roast chicken to be exact.
In my quest to attend more social events this year, I am glad I made this one! Thanks for pulling this one together!
