What sets them apart from other events is that they have combined the feel of a race track with the fun of an Auto-x.  Utilizing racetrack curbing instead of cones, the course has the feel of an actual race track.  This is a great step up over a typical Auto-x.

We are revving up the motors for this year's Holiday Party and given the amount of energy and chest pounding exhilaration that John Force always has, we thought this would be a great place to host our annual party.  Come on out and join us for a wonderful dinner, tour of the Force Museum, enjoy a great live band, dancing and some other great surprises.

If you ever wanted to learn how to shoot trap, (Clay pigeons) this is your chance. Come and join the SoCal Viper Club at Oaktree Gun Club. This event is for the first time beginner to the expert level shooter. We will be reserving two trap fields for the club to use. We have several experienced shooters in the club that will be helping the beginners or anyone that needs assistance. The price is $30 per person which includes range fees and two games of trap. Oaktree has rental shotguns for $20 ammo $8.50 per box and everything else you may need.

Prior to the event we will meet at Starbucks to group up and head to Oaktree. After the event we will head out to Newhall where we will have a nice lunch at Claim Jumper.

The Company Commander of "EOD" at Camp Pendleton has once again invited the Vipers behind the gates of the EOD compound.  This year we will be teaming up with the Ferrari Club of America to put on a joint event to show our support for the EOD. 

The Mission

To express our appreciation for this opportunity, our mission is to display both the Ferraris and Vipers for the Marines, Sailors and their family members to enjoy.  As we did in the past, we will be bringing out food/drinks for the "potluck" lunch.

To show our respect, we will make a donation to the  - EOD Warrior Foundation.   This is a very specific fund that directly benefits the soldiers and immediate family members of the EOD who have made the sacrifices and paid the price for us to be able to enjoy the freedom necessary to live in the US and drive Vipers. When the unfortunate does happen, the EOD Warrior Foundation steps up to help the families in every way possible.   We felt that this would be a GREAT way for us to say THANK YOU and to give something back.

The Event

The Ferrari Club of America will be bringing out a great collection of Ferrari's and we know that the So Cal Viper Club will have an equally impressive collection.
The question will be, which will attract the most attention from the Warriors.   
We will stage our cars inside the EOD compound for the EOD team and their families to enjoy.

The EOD team will have BBQ grills and facilities for a picnic Marine style. (ok...leave the beer at home) We ask that each attendee bring something to BBQ or eat so we can treat the Warriors to a meal Viper style.


The Cost

We all know the price those who serve in the military and their families pay. The cost to us for the event will be substantially less. We will be collecting $125.00 per car to attend this event. 100% of the money collected will be donated to the Wounded Warrior -EOD fund. Of course any additional monetary donations would be greatly appreciated. Aside from your donations, there will be no cost to attend the event.  The last time we visited the EOD, we were able to raise over $4000.00 !  Let's do our best to beat that this year.

Please note that this event will be limited to the first 25 Vipers who register AND pay prior to the event.   We expect a sell-out so we suggest that you register as soon as possible. When you have been accepted to attend, we will ask for information needed to provide to the Marines IN ADVANCE in order for us to gain entry to Camp Pendleton. If you do not provide this information by the deadline and your information is not on the access list we submit to the Marines, be assured you WILL NOT be admitted to the base. There will be no point in asking for an exception as this will be out of our hands. Please make sure we have a current email address for you as all communication for this event will be via email.

At the end of the day, we want to show these brave members of the EOD how much we respect what they do, give them our thanks, and give them a break from the high stress task that they perform. Let's make this a show they will enjoy and remember.

We are gonna head out for an early morning breakfast and drive up Angeles Crest Hwy from Wrightwood.
Club member Angel called his buddy at Grizzly Cafe in Wrightwood and made arrangements for us to have an early breakfast.  Then we will take a nice drive up Angeles Crest mountain road for a scenic drive before the traffic gets too heavy.

Get ready for some indoor fun !  Fast Eddie wanted to do some karting, so we are going to K-1 Speed in Irvine for some karting fun.  We are going to do the arrive and drive,  so get there when you can, sign in and hit the track.  We will see who turns the fastest lap and claim bragging rights !

K1 opens at 10:00 am, so we are planning on getting there early and getting on the drive list as early as possible.  Depending on how busy it is on Saturday morning, we will hopefully get 2 or 3 runs in. 
They have helmets there.  You just have to have closed toe shoes.

After we finish up, we will take a ride down Laguna Canyon Rd to PCH and head north to Crystal Cove Shopping center and grab a bite to eat at Babette's

We are having our first Tech Day of the year.
We will cover basic mechanical tech on Vipers, as well as track prepping. This event is for anyone who would like to understand basic to intermediate maintenance and safety checks on your Viper. 
While tracking your Viper may seem daunting or overwhelming, we will take the time to break down the basics for what you need to know to get your Viper out on a closed course and feel very comfortable doing so.  We will also cover the basic safety equipment required and provide info on where to get what you need.

Speedventures will be hosting a 2 day open track event at Buttonwillow Raceway.  This is a fun track that offers good speed and technical turns which makes it challenging for the seasoned driver to the first timer at the track.
Speedventures offers driving instruction for the beginner's group and a bunch of our Viper track guys will be attending to help out the new Viper owners.

Cars and Coffee in Orange county has had many homes, but for varying reasons they always get shut down.
Our very own Newport Viper has done extensive due diligence and has found a new home for a monthly gathering of Supercars that will no longer have to worry about getting shut down. 

From David:

"This will be a re-occurring monthly gathering of Supercar Enthusiasts at Huntington State Beach. The meet will be on Sunday January 14th from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. This event is fully approved & permitted by the California Department of Parks and Recreation. I developed this event with the input of the City of Huntington Beach and the willingness of the State to allow growth in its 1,000+ space parking lot. As car meets continue to get pushed out of existing venues, I was seeking a permanent solution in a scenic place, for all to enjoy for decades to come.

The best way to enjoy the event is to purchase the Annual State Parks Pass (good at all parks statewide) or there is a $15 day use pass to get into the park.

A couple of quick details:
Parking will be reserved for each meet (Plenty of room for trucks and trailers).
Enter at Magnolia & PCH.
The Park prefers cash but, does have credit card capability at entry.

San Diego member Randy Begin has put together a great cruise for all the Vipers to enjoy.  We will start out in Temecula and head south.  We will make a stop at Dudley's Bakery to get a snack and fill up with gas.  Then we head down to El Cajon where we will enjoy 360 degree views from Randy's house.  Randy has generously offered to provide lunch and drinks for us out of his own pocket !   Please make sure you reply on this thread so we can get an accurate headcount for food.

We will be having breakfast with Mark Trostle and his father Mark Trostle Sr. before heading over to the Grand National Roadster Show.
Mark's dad has a long history building custom roadsters and as we all know, Mark headed up the design team which created the incredible Gen 5 Viper.  We want to get as many Vipers together for a true Viper Pit for the Trostle's to enjoy.   Matthew set us up at Mr. D's Diner in Pomona where there is plenty of parking.  After breakfast, we will cruise over to the Pomona Fairgrounds for the Grand National Roadster Show.

Please note that we will be buying our tickets to enter the Roadster show individually at the gate.   You can also go to any O'Reilly's and pre-purchase a ticket at a slight discount.
