Seems to me that there is someone in our Club or a close contact to our Club that does this.
I'll do a search and see if I can find out who it is.

Steve Ferguson, one of our ex national presidents, made a presentation to us at the President's meeting last week.

Chubb insurance recently started an "agree value" program for Vipers.

For more info, contact Andrew J. Kasper at IMAC, phone 877-522-5573 or email at:  [email protected]

Let us know how this works out for you.

See you at the track,

If there is a beginner group, I'd love to go.

Check with Speed Ventures.  Sometimes that have beginner groups, sometimes then don't.

Thanks for the info A.

Like Jonathan says, in short, take it easier past the sound booth, i.e. either short shift or go to mid throttle in the early AM if it's cloudy, cool and dense air and you have aftermarket headers and exhaust.

If you have not cats or mufflers, you might be in trouble in the above conditions.

Stock would be easily OK as I passed the sound limit of 92 with my stock exhaust 09 ACR.

Hey Gang,

Two great track events are just around the corner.

First, Speed Ventures will be driving Auto Club Speedway Fontana February 23 & 24.

Second, West Coast Racing will be driving Willow Springs March 2 & 3.

Both of these track outfits can be found on the web.

I plan to drive one or the other of these events depending upon the weather and will post here as these events get closer.

See you at the track,

YES ! Anhtuan checked the Db level as the red group went down the front straight.  >v

BUt I don't know what the results were   =16

I'm sure Anhtuan will chime in shortly   >v

I was told that both Mike B and I "blew" 104.7 DB but I'm not sure how close Anthuan was to us compared to the location of the sound booth at LS.  I think he was actually closer ..... If so, we'll be OK as is.

I too am hoping Anthuan will chime in on this.

Hey Ben,

You should contact Bernie Katz to see if he has any buyers for your car ..... if you really want to sell it.

So when do we get to take our cars on the track again (as a group)?   <2

Hey Doc,

There are two events coming up for me.

1 - The first is ACS Fontana with Speed Ventures Feb 23 & 24.

2 - The second is Willow Springs with West Coast Racing march 2 & 3.

I'll likely run the event with the best weather.

Hopefully, we'll get a few Vipers out to run with.

See you at the track,

To All Drivers,

I met with Brian Kono yesterday at Lance's shop.  I've asked Brian to make up a few of his front tow hooks, stainless steel screen protectors for our front grilles and stainless steel screens for our SRT brake cooling ducts and bring them to the event.

I highly recommend these items and run them on my ACR.  Ask Peter Hauser if he'd recommend installing a screen over your front radiator area.....he has some recent experience dealing with this.

The front tow hooks are about a 10 minute install, so you guys could do them at the track.  The screens are DIY items for many of us but Dan Cragin could also install these for you.

I'd also ask Scott Hirko to bring a few "in car" fire bottles with mounts (mounts in front of the front passenger seat using the two existing front seat bolts) for our guys who don't have them yet.  This is an easy install too and could be done at the track in about 10 minutes.  This item could literally save your car from becoming a total.

See you at the track.

I emailed Dan... Can't wait to be back at WSR  =15

*watching* LOL

Dan E, I have a couple of new space heaters in storage if you want me to bring them for one of the garages. Let me know.

What a great way to start the New Year!

Kala,

Thanks for the offer.  If you can bring them, I think most of our guys would love it.

The garages have electricity, so that makes it much easier to keep things warm.

See you at the track,

Well gang, the good news is it looks like there is no rain in the long range forecast for Saturday or Sunday!

The other news is that it's going to be a bit cool and maybe even chilly in the early morning.....but Lance and I have each reserved a garage, one for me (Cathy makes me do it) and one for the club.  I'll have a couple of electric heaters set up in my garage and likely Lance or somebody else can bring a couple more for the So Cal Club garage.  We are right next door to each other, so it should be fun.  Also, I'll likely park my ACR in the garage between sessions, which should help warm things up.

Definitely bring your folding chairs and warm clothes to this one.

See you at the track,

Dan

If this is about installing the gas cap, talk with Glenn Izard.  He did this to his vert.

If not, have fun.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be in Detroit that weekend for the Officers and Presidents meeting.....but I should get some cool looks into the Gen V Viper and very likely a tour of Connor Ave Assembly Plant.

Have fun guys,

I'll bring mine along.

VERY Cool and thanks.

Looking forward to it.

Hey Mike,

I plan to check my car's sound output at Willow in January.  We can check your car too, so we should know in plenty of time if we'll pass sound at LS.  In order to exceed 105 DB on a "drive by", the car would have to be pretty loud.

Cathy has a new phone with a DB app; and I think Lance and Anthuan actually have a DB meters.  We can ask them to bring their meters to this event and test our cars.

I'd like to run without making any changes to my car too, which has headers and 3-inch Corsa track exhausts on it now.  I think mine is a bit quieter than yours but it could just be a pitch or resonance thing.  Will be fun to find out.

See you at the track,

Dan  <2

Worst case, you can always lift just before the sound testing building and ease up that section of track till you get past sound, then hammer down.

Hi Demoe,

You should not need a roll bar to run with Speed Ventures as long as you run in the Novice group.

You will need a Snell SA 2005 or newer helmet and you should have a fire bottle, which you can get from Scott Hirko.

You will want driving shoes and six point belts will be helpful but not necessary.

Check the Speed Ventures website for more info.

See you at the track,
