I am interested in coming to the car show this weekend. I am new to the forum (as of today) and would really like to get involved in some of the meets you guys/gals are attending. I will be driving down from Lompoc... so what time would be good to get to the car show? 7am is a little early for me since its 2 hours to get there. I will see if I can get the girlfriend up to make it...

Hey Thom,

That's a bit of a drive.  The car show starts at 7:00AM.  We will be leaving the car show at about 8 - 8:15 and cruising down 133 to PCH (go to the calendar and click on the event for more info).  If you could get there by 8:00, you could get a feeling for this event and then drive down 133 with the group.

Hey Dan, thanks for the info. I am still learning how to navigate the site... so it will take me a while to figure out where everything is listed. But it looks like there are quite a few events coming up. I am definately interested in this one though, so I will hit the ol lady up tomorrow and see if she is interested. Its her weekend off and she has never been down to L.A. Might be a good way to get her down there and then take her out that night.
looking forward to meeting everyone. My dad is prt of the Mid-South Viper club (Ark/Lousiana/Miss.) and I have been on a few runs with them. It gave me the feeling that Viper owners are a unique breed.... and happy to be part of the family now.

You could also make your way down on Friday, spend the night and hit the show etc. etc..  Lot's of choices down here.

Thats an idea too.  I will get back with you tomorrow and know a little more about if/when I will get down there. Would be fun to come down that way, hang out for the night, and then head over that morning without having to make that long drive down at 5am. Its a nice drive to once you hit the 1 at Oxnard... much better than getting on the worlds longest parking lot (405).

Hopefully, this won't get me into trouble with you Thom, but the Cocos is at Fashion Island.  Fashion Island is one of the nicest shopping centers in So Cal, maybe the world.  The ladies really like this place and you could easily return to Fashion Island with your wife after the safety clinic.

Add me to the list.  I will see everybody at the car show site about 7:30.  I guess I will have to put the top on the car or freeze my #*%* off.  This will be only the 2nd event in 7+ years that I have the top on for a Viper rally.   .  I am looking forward to seeing everybody and welcoming the new member.  See you soon.

Well I wont be able to make it this weekend. Tore my knee up pretty good and cant get in and out of the car with the brace on... just happens to be my left knee.
